May 2020 - What's New With You

Well. May was kind of a blur, to be honest. I had a bit of a tough go in the beginning of the month, then when things started to calm down a bit personally, everything else started happening. I'm kind of hot mess right now and finding it hard to write this post for some reason, so here's what I did in May:

- lounged on my fabulous patio furniture
- ran lots of miles
- read lots of books
- smothered my cats with love
- social distance hang outs with friends including book club
- watched tv (I really enjoyed Dollface on Hulu, anyone else?)
- continued doing yoga every day
- got my hair chopped off
- went back to the office

and I think that's it.

There's so much going on in the world, in this country, in my city. I feel like I have so much to say, so much going on in my head, but my brain is super sluggish and I can't focus on anything. With everything going on, on top of everything I have going on in my life/my head already, I feel like I am constantly playing catch up. I'm not trying to make excuses or apologise or anything like that. I'm sure lots of us feel this way right now, but instead of beating myself up or hiding from it all, I'm trying to focus my energy on specific things. Apparently remembering what I did in May isn't one of those things. 

Honestly, right now, I'm scared and I'm worried, but I'm hopeful too. I'm hoping this means things will change, I'm hoping this means people will vote. I'm trying to do what I can do, no matter how small. Sometimes I think to myself, 'that's too small, that won't help'. But that's certainly not the right attitude. 

Anyway. There's really not much new with me, that's the point of this post.
