January 2019 Recap - What's New With You Link Up

Hello all, time for another what's new with you link up! Thanks again if you join me, I always appreciate it. You don't have to display the button if you don't want to, but don't forget to mention it somewhere in your post and check out some of the other posts! I'll be doing a monthly recap like I do every month.

January was an insanely quiet month for obvious reasons. The month started off with the termination of my pregnancy and the rest of the month was about recovering and just getting through each day. I received a care package from my friends that included food and those gorgeous flowers, books from Heather and a necklace from my besties.

I got sick at the end of the month - it's funny, we had book club on a Sunday and then like two days later half of us were sick with the stomach bug. We blamed it on the book, which unfortunately was a bust for all but one of us.

Other things this month - I read a lot and took a lot of photos of my cats.

I'm still doing my vegetarian challenge, it's easy and so far hasn't been that different from my normal eating habits. I felt like it was getting a bit boring sharing the photos of the same meals, so I wanted to try new recipes. We made these cauliflower & chickpea tacos (kind of, I am a horrible recipe follower) which will be a new staple for sure, and we've been loving the crescent roll braid. Then I got sick and all the other new recipe ideas went out the window.

If you like baileys and have a trader joe's near you, I highly recommend their version - it's delicious and I think I like it more than baileys.

And that's basically all I got up to in January.
