So November started off great - my friend and I went to see Hanson. When we went to the Shania Twain concert, it was a ton of fun for nostalgia reasons, not really because it was an entertaining show, if that makes sense. With Hanson, we definitely went for nostalgia reasons, but they only played 3 of their older songs, and the rest were from a new album that, if I am correct, wasn't even released yet? And they had the whole orchestra thing, which was great and all, very cool, but at times, overpowered their voices and it definitely changed the way the older songs I've known for 20+ years sounded. Anyway. It was still lovely to see them and they did put on a good show, I just would have preferred a few more songs I actually knew. But we both got Hanson tees and got to sing along to mmmbop so, success.

That weekend, KC and I decided to do some yard work. We did one side of the porch in September but we got lazy and didn't do the other side. We dug up all the plants/shrubs on the right. I took a before photo and everything. Go me!

We went out to get some stuff and instead, got in an accident. Good bloody times. Some guy just turned straight in front of us for absolutely no reason at all. We had a green light, there was traffic all around us, very busy road and he decided it was a great time to turn in front of us and have us hit him head on. The car was completely totaled, every single air bag deployed and I was just a tad hysterical. At first I couldn't open the door, couldn't see a bloody thing, the smell was horrendous... it was awful. As soon as I got out, I sat on the ground (away from the car obviously) and cried. It's funny - now, not at the time - when KC called 911, they said 'I think we've already received this call a couple of times - is there a woman crying on the ground?' and he was like 'yes, that's my wife'. Good times. Once the ambulance checked me out, I calmed down. The police must have been right around the corner because they showed up immediately, the fire truck was just a couple minutes later.

After it was all cleaned up and the cars towed away, we walked home because it happened just around the corner from our house. We were both in a small bit of pain and figured going to the ER was better safe than sorry, so we did.

Needless to say, we did not finish the yard work and it currently looks ridiculous but I give zero shits. I'll worry about it in the spring.

I wore a neck brace for about a week, which was annoying and uncomfortable - I didn't have any serious injuries, just whiplash, but they suggested it and said it would help and it definitely did. I healed a lot faster this time than I did last time.

On top of being in pain, we had to worry about insurance and all the good stuff that comes with being in an accident. Thankfully it is all sorted now but it was a stressful few weeks. Doubly thankful, my MIL has 2 cars and we borrowed one from her instead of worrying about a rental. We are looking for a replacement obviously, just waiting until the right one comes along.

On to better things, Liane Moriarty came to Louisville and book club went to see her! She was fantastic. I love her and want to be her friend. We got to chat with her for a few minutes and she signed our books and did I mention I love her because I do.

Other things happened in November - went out to dinner with girlfriends, hosted thanksgiving (I did not cook the turkey) and I feel like there were other things but there is no photo evidence of any of them so it basically didn't happen. Oh, and it snowed, so November is officially on my shit list. Goodbye, is it 2019 yet.

If you'd like to link up, please do so below. Apologies if there are any issues with the link up, I will try and remember to get on here on Thursday morning and make sure it's all good, but inlinkz changed and I'm not sure if I did it correctly. Hopefully I did!

So, what's new with you? Hopefully your November was better than mine, though I'm not sure you can beat Hanson and Liane Moriarty. Wink.
