I feel like March was busier than Jan and Feb, but I don't have that much to show for it.
KC and I hit up the St Paddy's parade like we try to each year, always a good time. We also had a celebration at work and I made baileys brownies (just a box mix using baileys in place of water, baker extraordinaire I am not).
Other things from the month - got a little red in my hair, ran outside a few times and even went to the gym, like twice. Went to our favourite Indian restaurant. Started Downton again, only to stop after Matthew and Mary got married because I just can't right now. Watched Annihilation, it was okay. The milk duds were better. It snowed because apparently spring hates us.
And some random photos of my kitties because why not. Penny loves to be as close to me as possible, Chelsea loves to look out a window she can't actually see anything out of and Millie likes to be a grumpy creep.
If you'd like to link up with us, please do so below.
So that was March. Honestly, I've been spending every spare second I'm not asleep or at work with my head in a book. It's always been my coping mechanism, sometimes healthy, sometimes not so. Everything is fine, it's just even more fine with my head in a book.
I am still going to do this link up for the foreseeable future because it helps me show up here, not that I have to, but I want to and this link up helps. So thank you for linking up today, and in the past. I really appreciate it.
So, that's what's new with me.. nothing, really. What's new with you?
Well, you definitely have more to show for last month than I do! I think I said this on Instagram already, but I'll say it again: I love the red!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're going to continue with the link-up. I don't always have much to say about a month, but it's nice to think about what happened (good and bad) and share it with others. It's also nice to check out what other people have been up to. I'm also glad it makes you show up to blog. :-)
P.S. I didn't realize Gretchen wasn't co-hosting the link-up right now, and my post reflects that. Haha. Oh well ... I'm sure I won't be the only one!
Definitely not the only one. And I was too lazy to take her link out of my post, so yeah.
DeleteI love your hair! It's weird how sometimes in the months that feel most busy when you look back you can't really specify what you were actually busy doing.
ReplyDeleteI love your new haircolor! I can't pull off red, my skin color goes better with cool tones, but I always admire red-toned hair! I've occasionally thought about watching Downton all over again, but that will be quite the emotional journey!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great! Did you see that we’re getting more snow this weekend? Why won’t it stop!!
ReplyDeleteI always feel like, the busier I am, the less photos I have to show for it - which is a good thing because I’m in the moment and not in my phone but still! 😜
ReplyDeleteI love your new hair colour!
I love your hair! It looks great!!
ReplyDeleteI feel like reading as a coping mechanism is one of the more healthier coping mechanisms I have heard of. I appreciate you hosting and showing up whenever you wish to! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love your new hair colour! It suits you. Cute St Paddy’s photos too, glad you celebrated and ain’t nothing wrong with a box mix and some booze.
ReplyDeleteSlow months can be good months sometime, I hope it turned out that way for you. I like checking in with everyone in the link up so I’m glad you’re continuing, hopefully Gretch will be back when she can.
I hope you’ve seen the last of the snow for this winter! (/year...?!)
I never finished Downton...after two of the main characters left, I lost interest. I used to feel so bad for Mary (seasons 1 and 2 were so great too) but she reallllly started to bother me. And the whole Edith storyline was painful to watch.
ReplyDeleteYay for for making it back to the gym!
I'm glad you are going to still do the link-up. I love seeing what everyone is up to! Yeah, it needs to stop snowing...I hear more is coming Friday night so we'll see. Sigh. Spring? Where are you?
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm almost always better with my head in a book!

I constantly have my nose in a book too these days as you know. I am starting to think it's unhealthy because I would literally rather read than doing anything else...and there are other things to do, you know? I blame it on winter weather in spring and having busy friends. Those baileys brownies sound delicious!! And I love your hair like that too.
ReplyDeleteI am finishing my post right now so it will be up soon!! I love that you do this link up.
It sounds like you did some fun things this month! And getting lost in a book isn't a bad thing :) I love your hair color!!
ReplyDeleteSpring hates us... LOL! I keep saying that spring is having a a hard time downloading. Cool accent color for your hair!
ReplyDeleteEvery year they talk about the parade on the news, I'm always like, "Kristin is there" ;)
ReplyDeletei love your hair! i wish i had lighter hair so i can have fun with it too. in order for me to show any colour in my hair, i have to bleach it first, bleh :(
ReplyDeleteReading is a coping mechanism for me too. Sometimes a good one, sometimes not.
ReplyDeleteLove the red in your hair and the gratuitous kitty photos of course.
p.s. your linkup button goes to Gretch's site, not sure if you wanted to change the HTML even if you don't want to re-design the whole shebang.
ReplyDeleteYour hair with the red looks Amazing! The St Patty's parade sounds like a blast! Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the red in your hair! I love putting red in mine, too, but I sometimes get tired of the upkeep :(
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks awesome!!! I am glad you are keeping the link up alive, it always gives me a place to start for the month. Your bailey brownies sound awesome. Maybe you arne't an extravagant baker, but you are a genius for replacing the water with bailey's. All I can hear is hell no H20 from Coyote Ugly now. Hahaha. Hopefully it will warm up for you guys this month. I know you hate the cold.
ReplyDeleteStill looks like you had a solid month to me! You have been reading like crazy - I can't keep up with my Goodreads notifications from you, lol. I absolutely love the bit of red that you added to your hair, it really suits you!
ReplyDeleteI love the red in your hair - looks fantastic! Max is like Chelsea. He loves sitting next to the patio door and looking out, but he's just staring at cement. My patio isn't iron or wood so I'm not sure why it's such an exciting view for him. :D
ReplyDeleteI love your hair!!
ReplyDeleteI'm re-watching Downton, too. I'm at the end of season 5, but really after Mary and Matthew get married, there's no point watching anymore...
ReplyDeleteI love the red in your hair - It looks great! And your St Patty's shirt - I want to steal it. :)
