The month started off with a dinner and cocktail date with my girlfriends, including some delicious spinach and artichoke dip. I have never had bad spinach and artichoke dip, seriously. So good.
Updates in the kitchen renovation: electrical, plumbing, HVAC - it's all done. I have running water and a dishwasher! I have a vent in my over the range microwave that vents outside! Very snazzy. Once we were basically done(ish) with the kitchen we celebrated with some 32 degrees.
^ Millie is terrified of the dishwasher which is just hilarious, she just stares at it the whole time it's running
I worked 2 weddings with my friend, and after both we went out to brunch/lunch and I had some delicious cocktails... I'm starting to notice a trend here. Went to kickboxing a couple of times, tried Kroger's new meal kit service thingy and went to a baby shower.
We ended the month with pizza (blaze, so good) and the new Kingsman movie. I loved the first one. This one was funny and good, just not as fabulous as the first one. They go to Kentucky and honestly that had KC and I laughing so hard - was it really funny or was it just funny because we are in Kentucky? Every single person in the theatre was laughing during those bits.
Anywho, so that's about it for me this month. October is already shaping up to be a tad bit busier and before we know it, we'll be in holiday mode! Things just get crazier around the holidays even when you're a grinchy scrooge like me.

So, what's new with you?
I'm in Kentucky too so that aspect was quite funny! I didn't realize they were based in Louisville until right before the film started, but it's always a bit funny when they show my state. Oh, Kentucky...
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a nice month! I know October will be REALLY busy for me!

So happy to hear the kitchen is done. Cats are so dang weird - I love it! Chanel stares at the kettle if water is boiling ... like - what are you staring at? haha Now can we talk about the food? Spinach dip is the best dip and that pizza is making my carb-restricted body drool.
ReplyDeleteWe've wanted to see the new Kingsman movie since the first one was so funny! Super excited for you that the kitchen is done! We are still at like 95% with ours because neither of us wants to take the time to finish the trim or paint the ceiling hahaha :)
ReplyDeleteHooray for a done-ish kitchen! It looks so good! I am so out of the loop with movies (except the Star Wars franchise because kids) I have never even heard of Kingsman, but I always like it when a book or movie takes place somewhere familiar to me!
ReplyDeleteSo happy your kitchen is done! Hilarious that Millie is afraid of the dishwasher.
ReplyDeleteA month with cocktails and good eats and I mean a DISHWASHER!! What month is better than that! And oh to be inside a cat’s mind...
ReplyDeleteYour pizza is making my mouth water! SO happy for you that your kitchen is done!!
ReplyDeleteThat artichoke dip looks so good-- we have Mellow Mushroom here but I've never had anything other than pizza. Yay for kickboxing classes, the kitchen being done, and lots of drinks/meals with friends! The Kingsman movie isn't usually my thing, but I really liked the first one too and am excited to see the new one eventually, so I'm glad you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteGive me that dip! yum!!! Millie is hilarious standing guard by the dishwasher. It sounds like you guys had a fun month. I bet you are so glad that your kitchen has finally come together!
ReplyDeleteThat pizza looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI'm craving pizza now after that photo!
ReplyDeleteDidnt they go to Kentucky in the first one too - that church?
ReplyDeleteWhat did you think about the Kroger meal in a box thing - I've seen them & curious.
Mellow Mushroom is some of the best pizza I have ever had and I legit have an addiction to spinach dip.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE spinach and artichoke dip. It's so good and that pizza - looks terrific. I loved the first Kingsman movie too but haven't seen the second one yet. Still haven't decided if it's going to be a theater or a home movie for me. I am looking forward to seeing the new Blade Runner movie though. I love your huge kitchen sink. So nice!
ReplyDeleteHooray for pretty much being done with the kitchen! I swear there's nothing like living without a first world item to really make you appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteSpin dip & froyo sound so good right now! Maybe not at the same time...but maybe one right after the other haha.
ReplyDeletei LOVE your kitchen and kitchen sink. having a big sink is so awesome, isn't it? whenever i go to my sisters (she has something similar), i tell her I'll wash the dishes haha.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful new kitchen!
ReplyDeleteI've been extra looking forward to Friday this week because I'm going to make spinach-artichoke dip for dinner... :-)
Oh my gosh that pizza looks delicious!

Cats are so funny - scared but "I'm not going to take my eyes off this thing, just in case" :) I haven't tried Blaze but I'm hearing lots of good things about it since it's coming to this side of the river soon. And I'm certain I could live off spinach artichoke dip and nothing else ... (except crackers to scoop it up)
ReplyDeleteYou now have me craving spinach and artichoke dip and fro yo!!
ReplyDeleteYay finished kitchen! It looks so fancy. Hilarious that Millie doesn't agree :) I wonder what she thinks is going on in there?
ReplyDeleteAhh I miss AMC cinemas. They're so good and cheap! At least, they were in the UK. So I'm assuming they're even more so in the US because that's always the way things go! Sorry you didn't enjoy the film as much as the first, but isn't that always the curse of the sequel? I'm not sure I've ever been to a second instalment that was better than the first.
Your food looks so good.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great relaxed month! I am so excited for fallll! :) I haven't seen either Kingsman yet, but Colin Firth. So... yeah. Thanks for the comments while I was AWOL on vacation, loving going back through (MOST) of the posts... :P Not all. Ain't nobody got time for that. Have a great weekend! Did you get the P&P Xmas book from Netgalley?! XO - Alexandra

So happy you have a kitchen again!! That spinach and artichoke dip also looks delicious. I enjoyed the first Kingsman so might have to check out the second!! I bet it was awesome to have it set in Kentucky haha.
ReplyDeleteI think I might have already mentioned this but I absolutely love your hair!! Looks so good girl!!!
Just linked up this afternoon - a day late but got a post put together!! xo
I'm a grinchy scrooge too, which is hard to find in the blogging world lol! I want to see that Kingsman movie but I should probably watch the first one beforehand. Hooray for the kitchen being completed- looks great!
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen is looking so fab and I love the floors. Really impressed this was a DIY home project. Too funny about Millie and the dishwasher. LOL
ReplyDeleteMellow fuckin' Mushroom's spinach artichoke dip is FAR AND AWAY the BESTTTTT I've ever put in my mouth. Seriously. It's all molten and gooey and delicious and I have to stop because I'm about to leave work and go gorge myself on it.
ReplyDeleteThat spinach and artichoke dip looks goooooodd! I don’t know why it’s not really a thing in Aus. I, glad I tried it when I was younger in the US so I could enjoy years of eating it at home haha
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a very yummy month! Spinach and artichoke dip is always awesome :)
ReplyDeleteOooooooh girl, we're so CUTE! :)
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen looks AWESOME! It's so amusing that your kitty hates/fears/stalks the dishwasher :) Our dogs aren't quite sure about the ice maker in the fridge, lol.
ReplyDeleteMy husband wants to see the new Kingsmen movie but he hasn't seen the first- I told him he had to watch that.
Yay for a dishwasher! I’m kind of in love with your cabinet hardware - it’s simple but big so it makes a statement. Looks so good! Also, did you cut your hair?! Love it, suits you.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't seen The Kingsmen - I need to watch it! And your kitchen is looking fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteMellow Mushroom is one of my all-time favorite places ever -- I am all about their cheesebread. Yay for having a dishwasher, and you look amazing in that picture, as always.
