Time for another What's New With You link up with Gretch & I! No real rules, all we ask is that you link back to us somewhere in your post - easy peasy. I'll be doing another monthly recap, since that's how I roll. So let's get to September!
The month started off with my trip to see my mum and her/my friend in LA & Vegas. I haven't done my ridiculously long recap yet, but I'll get there. It was a really good time, lots of eating and drinking, obscene amounts of shopping and my first trip to an American beach.
The highlight of the trip/month/my life was meeting the backstreet boys (or insert whatever boy-band you were enamored with) of my youth - Human Nature. They have a show in Vegas where they sing motown type music, and it was very good, but I do wish they played my favourite song from when I was 10 years old. I asked them 'do you all ever play Wishes or anything?' and they all went 'whoa, you're from way back' like thanks for making me feel old, guys. But seriously, they put on a good show, though they wear more makeup than me.
Needless to say, when I got home (a day late, yay) I was knackered and didn't do much else for rest of the month. After last month with the eerily similar workout pictures I didn't really take any this month. So, cat snaps instead:

ReplyDeleteLOL! I was in Vegas in July and STILL haven't posted anything about it! I should have made that one of my autumn goals... LOL! Glad to hear the trip went well and you had a fabulous time!
ReplyDeleteBaha the number of cat snaps you have every month cracks me up. And I'm excited to hear all about your trip! So I hope you post soon! I never know if I should post my wedding pics from weddings we go to. Since we just wear the same outfit so they all look exactly the same.

ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing about Vegas! Sounds like my kind of holiday. Loving the cat snaps as ever. And holy moly those men are wearing a lot of makeup! We've been quiet(er) this month after our big trip, and it's been amazing. I'm definitely not ready for October yet but it seems to have arrived anyway, so we'll see how that goes.

That's amazing. Yes, so so much makeup! :P Glad again that you had a great trip. I would be (and also was) wiped as well after so much travel. We stayed home most of September and it was LOVELY! :) I love cat pictures. Always, pro cat pictures. ;) XO - Alexandra

I read the first few words of your boy band experience and glanced at the photo and was like, 'Wait, that's not the backstreet boys.....' Hahaha. I just needed to keep reading. Ha! All that food and those bags- the west coast was good to you! :) Haha!

ReplyDeleteSanta Monica beach! That's definitely an iconic beach to visit. Venice Beach has the best people watching and muscle beach too. :) Glad you had a wonderful time in Las Vegas and LA. My cat pictures is ALL of them. Okay, I really like the onc with the cat (sorry, I can't remember his name!) holding your hand.

ReplyDeleteYour trip to LA & Vegas sounds so fun and what a perfect way to get some quality time in with your mom and friends - shopping, eating and exploring together couldn't be more fun and I can't believe you just made it to the beach! That means you'll have to visit Florida at some point to see the beautiful beaches!

I'm always bummed when bands don't play my favorite song (like when Heart didn't play "All I Wanna Do"...I digress), but on the bright side at least you were able to see them!

And I always love the cat pictures . . . we have a neighborhood cat that keeps dropping by to annoy the dogs and entertain the kids.
