Three things I'd never give up
Books, travel and yeah, stealing Steph's here with my independence.
Three favorite vegetables
Spinach, potatoes and onions.
Three shows I watched faithfully from beginning to end
Charmed, Dawson's Creek and Friends. Yeah, they are all old because in the last 5 years or so, my attention span just isn't that long. Grey's Anatomy is one I've always been a huge fan of, but I'm behind a season. I also really like Once Upon A Time but I think I am behind 2 seasons? My most recent obsession is Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries which I'm sure I've mentioned like 100 times, but that doesn't count, because it's not the end of this show (well it bloody better not be).
Three places I want to visit inside the US
Seattle, San Francisco and Charleston.
Three places I want to visit outside the US
Scotland, New Zealand and Switzerland.
Three things I always have with me
Water, book and chapstick.
Three things that are always in my car
Tissues or napkins, pen and clothes/shoes. I have this awful habit of taking an article of clothing or my shoes off in the car, and then leaving them when I go inside (yes, I walk in my house barefoot I'm classy as all get out don't ya know) and then that happens a few times and KC is like wtf why do you have 10 pairs of shoes in your car.
Three most recent phone calls were to/from
KC, mum and a window company.
Three books I read and loved in college
Well I didn't go to college (I went to Uni online but the only books I read were directly related to my degree, so non fiction and no thanks), but I think around that age I read and loved Pride & Prejudice, The Time Traveler's wife and The Bronze Horseman.
Three most often used makeup products
Maybelline instant age rewind concealer, mascara (either better than sex or a drugstore one, current favourite is the l'oreal voluminous original), and milani nude creme lipstick.
Three things that make me laugh
Babies eating lemons, cats doing silly cat things and bad jokes.
Three things that make me cry
Thinking about my cats dying, commercials, especially anything to do with family - state farm always kills me, and also have you guys seen the Toyota commercial where the brothers are driving and competition made them friends? OMG I cry every time. Um, what else, this thing called 'everything' because I am an emotional mess most of the time.
and not because posts need pictures but because I like sharing random pictures of my cats:
^ our house is a mess right now, which means a whole new crazy playground for the cats.
^ we don't have a nightstand next to the bed in the spare, but when I watch Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries TV in there, I need somewhere to put my drink, so I fashioned one together with a cooler and a plastic tub that holds our files. Millie loves to sit/sleep on my nightstand, so she does the same thing with this makeshift nightstand.
^ Penny is my least weird cat and also the hardest to photograph, but here she is on a box. If there is a box in my house, there is most likely a cat nearby or on top.
I should stop at 3 but I don't wanna.
^ Chelsea cuddles - she never, ever, ever, ever cuddles with me. She loves KC and loves being held by me, but hates my lap. Once a year or so, I get some cuddles and they must be documented.
^ Took the cabinets off to install a new faucet and Millie was like well thank you for my new bed.
^ Chelsea being a weirdo.
^ New TV stand! Millie is a fan. Obviously that little cubby thing will have to stay clear so she can lay in it whenever she wants.
What's your favourite number? Any reason why?
3 has always been my weird, random favorite number too. No reason as to why...it just is.
ReplyDeleteI ALWAYS have chapstick with me. I'm obsessed.
There are three random pairs of shoes in my car right now so... I can relate. I have no pets at the moment but can't WAIT to take all kinds of weird pictures of them. I think my favorite number might be 8... I'm a dance teacher so I'm always yelling out "five, six, seven, EIGHT!!!" and I'm basic af and love that 8 turned on its side is the infinity symbol lolz
ReplyDeletehaha you crack me up girly. and why not post a million pictures of your fur babies? sorry not sorry. i don't know if i have a fav number but i believe it's always been even ones. 22. maybe bc my birthday. it's just a nice number. i always have to have tissues in my car - and everywhere i go. damn allergy face 24/7. and chapstick well duh!
ReplyDeletexoxo cheshire kat
I'm so behind on current TV it's ridiculous. Where does our free time go? I always have water and chapstick with me, too!
ReplyDeleteLove the cat pictures. :) Gotta love the "least weird cat" :P . Duchess and Scal have been TERRORS recently. We've been putting them up in the laundry room (with blankets, a box, food, etc.) when they are loud at night. If we put them in the bathroom they tear up the carpet under the door... so ... anyhow. KC wakes me up with coffee and then says, "Don't worry, but the cats somehow lodged the ironing board in front of the door and I can't get it opened." WHAT! OMG. He got them out in like 5 min after trying, but I was freaking out! The hinges were on the other side and everything. UGH. LOL. 12 is my favorite #, so my posts are always 12 favorite.... blah blah blah. I'm not sure why it's my favorite... but it just always has been. :) Oh boy commercials... the subaru ones always get me. I've really been wanting to go to Charleston too. :) XO - Alexandra
ReplyDeleteSimply Alexandra: My Favorite Things
LOL, I do not have a favorite number but I do love posts with lists like this. Loving 2/3 cities you put on your to-see list for the USA and hope you make it there soon! (That would be Seattle and SF if you didn't already know...nothing against Charleston! Just haven't been there myself to recommend it!)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading this but the cat pictures were by far my favorite. Your kitties are absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love Chelsea under the sink!
ReplyDeleteAlso a huge fan of three and nine.
Loved reading your answers!
I get the favorite number thing -- mine has always been 4. I have no idea why -- it's just a good one! I love all the kitty pics -- the cabinet bed has me rolling. :) Also, yes to crying at everything. I don't know if you guys have Publix up there, but OMG with their commercials. Cry like a baby every time.
ReplyDeleteThree is my favorite number, too, though for no particular reason! I've always loved it. I don't know if it's getting older but I've been emotional, too. I cried so hard at Masters of Sex this week I had to go to bed! I love your cat pics! I love cats and want one but am so allergic. :(
ReplyDeleteI also read Steph's three things post and will be copying as well. I came by your page because Erin solicited some questions from moi for you two for a upcoming blog post.
ReplyDeleteYour cat pictures had me laughing. Cats sit and lay in the funniest of spots. I also love your ingenuity in fabricating a make shift bed side table. Well done. Using what you've got. :) lol
Nice to meet you Kristen. :)
I know exactly how you feel...the second I think about not having my dogs I turn into a blubbering mess. Aaron and I say we need to get in therapy ahead of time because we are going to be so messed up over it. Have you seen the preview for "A Dog's Purpose"? OMG. I started crying in the theater when we went to see Miss Peregrine's last weekend...during the preview hahaha
ReplyDeleteI love all of the significance 3 has for you! I think my favorite number is 26, only because it's my birthday. Chelsea cuddling on your arm is sooo cute and I love that Millie has her own spot in the TV stand. I cry at allll of the commercials too. I've never watched Charmed, but one of my friends loves it and it's her show that she watches on repeat over and over again, haha.
ReplyDelete5 has always been my favorite number... no reason :)
ReplyDeleteI am like you - I always have a book with me. Feel lost without.
Babies & lemon... I feel like I need to go YouTube some now.
My favourite number is 13 because I was born on the 13th and it amuses me that everyone else is so scared of it.
ReplyDeleteYES, come to Switzerland and hang out with me for a day.
I may steal this post when I can be bothered to think of answers.
I love your cats! And I'm going to Charleston next week. Do you know of anything I should DO? We have food covered and other than seeing "everything" and shopping, I've got nothing. We only have two full days and I don't want to rent a car or take a crazy long uber. There's so much to do so I don't know what to pick!
ReplyDeleteI started my post like this but laziness has won this week. Maybe I'll get it done for tomorrow and do Three on Friday instead of Five on Friday since I'm a rebel.
Loved reading this and getting to know more about you! Your cats a cute. I love how they find the weirdest spot to squeeze themselves in to.
ReplyDeleteChelsea cuddles look so cute! I cry at everything too. It is awful! Like get under control emotions. Yikes! And potatoes is on my list of favorite veggie and food of all time lol. I haven't met a potato I don't like! Thank goodness they are allowed on Whole 30 :) Well, of the sweet potato variety anyways.
ReplyDeleteYour top 3 US places are 3 of my current top 5. But also I just need to go someeeewhere, anywhere!
ReplyDeleteBabies eating lemons are a guaranteed laugh—I need to remember to keep some saved on youtube for gloomy days. Is that weird?
Your cats are seriously hilarious.
Love this and I'm going to have borrow it from you who borrowed it from Steph. :) My favorite numbers are 3, 4, 5 and 8. They all work well for design! Love the cats pics, as always. Max is not a lap cat either but he does love to cuddle with me. He sits next to me with my arm wrapped him, similar to what Chelsea's doing, although Max sits more like a person. It just makes me smile thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteLove this - and may just go ahead & steal it myself. I've always loved the # 3, but mostly 13, I think 'cause everyone else hated it & thought it was bad luck. So I could always snag jersey with that number in elementary school soccer.
ReplyDeleteSwitzerland is high on my list of places I want to go - and I cannot recommend NZ enough! We LOVED it! Charleston is also high on my list of places to go, I want to go to Savannah too! :) I love that old school southern charm.
Hahaha omg, including "babies eating lemons" cracked me up. Not because I don't think that's funny (because it's hilarious) but because I would probably never think to list it in my top three things that make me laugh. But I should. My favorite number is 26 because it's my birthday.
ReplyDeleteAs always......can't get enough of your kitty pics and Snaps!
ReplyDeleteI always love these types of posts! The babies eat lemons is always funny, as are funny cat videos. I hate thinking about any animal being hurt or dying, and I literally have to change the channel with the SPCA commercials come on because I know that I'm going to start bawling my eyes out! Having a book when going anywhere is always a necessity!
ReplyDeleteI love three too! Though 3s have always been a huge part of my family (even all of our birthdays have 3s in them). I love Seattle and San Fran! You need to goo! :) Charleston is also high on my list. I really wanted to squeeze it in last week, but I'm glad we didn't because of Hurricane Matthew!
ReplyDeleteSo fun . . . love all these random things about folks!
ReplyDeleteI am a sucker for emotional commercials...I cry over them allll the time.
ReplyDeleteHaha your cats crack me up! My favourite number is 10, but I don't really know why lol. It was always my sports number growing up, but I wouldn't say I feel a serious attachment to it anymore :)
ReplyDeleteI just keep learning new things about you each and every day! And since I love two out of three of your favorite "college" books I guess The Bronze Horsemen needs to be added to my list.
ReplyDeleteIt's not your house. It belongs to the cats and they let you live with them.
ReplyDeletemy favorite number since forever has always been 13! I was a huge athlete growing up and I was picking a jersey number and wanted 13, my mom told me that was an "unlucky number" and I should pick another one. so i've been in love with number 13 ever since. I actually have "13" tattooed on my ankle. take that mom! lol
ReplyDeleteCat pictures make me happy.
ReplyDeleteI always have those 3 things with me, too.
I'm a little disappointed that Boston is not your list of 3 places to visit in the US. haha I don't have a favorite number but I do like things in two. But I think that is cause I'm a twin. haha
ReplyDeleteI am a fellow member of the cult of three. I am the exact same with shoes/outfits/general accessories in the car, although sharing a car with S makes me slightly more disciplined in clearing out my junk. Only slightly though... And I get genuine anxiety if I leave the house without lip balm. Not good...
ReplyDeleteI’m really digging this 3 thing, my Mother told me everything comes in threes, good news, bad news, deaths and all that jazz. I’m in love with Once Upon a Time but I’m also behind a season or two. Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries are so much fun, I love Miss Fisher, she’s so cunning and cool under pressure.
ReplyDeleteshe is SO fabulous! i love her.
DeleteMy favourite number is 12 - but only because it's my birthdate!
ReplyDeleteYour cats are seriously hilarious!
You can never have enough pet pictures.
ReplyDeleteI keep extra shoes in my car. But I do wear my shoes into the house so... :)
I love your reasoning for 3 being your favorite number! My number was always 5, but it was simply because that was my jersey number for the first sport I ever played (softball as a kid). Since then it's been "my number".
ReplyDeleteWe always have the same three things with us! Plus if I added a fourth, it would be a snack. Because this girl doesn't go anywhere without snacks.
I'm excited for all the places you want to visit someday because I love reading your trip recaps! So exciting! :)
Cat pics make me happy and so does the number 3! Is it weird that I prefer odd numbers to even?
ReplyDeleteWhenever I'm asked my favorite number, I answer 17 because I was born on the 17th.
ReplyDeleteYou mention crying over thinking about your cats dying. A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine's dog died. When we were talking about her other dog that was mourning and moping about, I started to think about Sally or Dolly dying before the other. I started crying real tears over the thought. They've never been apart. They hate to be separated even if one is getting a bath and the other isn't. I can't imagine what it will be like when one goes before the other, and I just couldn't stop crying.
Breathe.
Your cat photos are always so pretty :)
I'll be stealing this post idea (since I need something besides momlife on my blog lol). I always have water with me when I go places too. Not just a bottle of water, but a whole damn cup w/ straw. Ha! Oh yes, Charleston looks like such a great place to visit. So dreamy!
ReplyDeleteYou must, must go to Switzerland! And I go barefoot ALL. THE. TIME. Haha! No shame :)
ReplyDeleteDawson's Creek!!! Yes! And I'm adding The Bronze Horseman to my to-read list.
ReplyDeleteTotally with you on Dawson's Creek, wanting to visit San Francisco and Seattle (or really just the entire PNW region- ha), and bad jokes! I've been steadily making my way through Grey's from S1 because I had never watched it before, but now I'm on S8 and the current one and it's hella confusing.
ReplyDeleteMy fave number is 12 because I was born on 12/12 and was my grandparents' 12th grandchild :)
Babies eating lemons?! I'm off to Youtube that right now....
ReplyDeleteI love all the cat photos! I swear, some days I think I am going to start a blog dedicated to my furry friends because I have more photos of them then anything else at this point!
ReplyDeleteChapstick is something I always have too! If not, then I kind of freak out. LOVE your cat pics. They are seriously the cutest and just scream pet me.
ReplyDeleteI have synesthesia, so to me, letters and numbers have gender/personality. I like the number 8 and it's always been lucky for me. I see it everywhere. Loved reading your 3 things!
ReplyDeleteBabies eating lemons, HILARIOUS. I fed some to Sofia just to watch the ridiculous face she would make! Also, I love your cats. Especially the funny snaps you send of them! I used to keep lots of water bottles in my car, but now that I don't have a car, I keep them in my purse or Sofia's diaper bag, haha.
ReplyDeleteConfession: I still watch Charmed every morning while I'm getting read for work. Well I saw "watch it" but really its just on as background noise because total silence while I'm getting ready creeps me out and I for some reason I don't turn music on, I just turn the TV on. Anyway point is I'm pretty sure I've seen Charmed about 50 times start to finish. It's one of my favorites. And I'm with you on the never giving up books and travel. Just wish I had more money so I could do it more often! :)
ReplyDeleteI binged Dawson's Creek a few years ago when it still was on Netflix, and it was the best decision, lol. I cry at almost any commercial these days, so you aren't alone. Always fun to learn more about you! PS - starting Murder Mysteries the day before Ryan started another week vacation was a horrible idea. I'm still only 2 episodes in, so I'm sure I'll be chatting you this weekend about it. :)
ReplyDeleteCHARLESTON! CHARLESTON! CHARLESTON!
ReplyDeleteAh that's so cool that the number 3 is so significant for you! I love stuff like that. I might have to steal this post for a rainy day...I feel like I never just post random things about myself anymore. I love love love your cat pictures, they are seriously the prettiest cats! And if you visit Charleston I will totally come down and meet you. I never go there anymore but I should. It's been years since I have done any of the fun touristy stuff!
ReplyDeleteYeah, so I'll be stealing this too...
ReplyDeleteYes! Come to Seattle! I volunteer as tour guide for all the touristy stuff! I live an hour outside of it and go as often as I can. Plus the ferry ride is just so relaxing. I never get tired of it. I also always have Chapstick on me. I MUST have it.
What utterly gorgeous cats!
ReplyDeleteI answered these questions too, after reading them on Kezzie's blog.
I'm the exact same when it comes to my car. It ends up looking like a closet because I usually always have a jacket or cardigan when I got to work and then take it off during the drive home, and my extra workout clothes just in case, plus I also drive and walk into the house barefoot. I'm still in the middle of Grey's Anatomy and I think the newest season (season 5) of Once Upon a Time came out not too long ago so I need to catch up on that as well.
ReplyDeleteI love this post! I will have to borrow this one! I want to visit all those places too! I finally caught up on Greys (the ones on Netflix) after being behind nearly four years! I was late to Friends but now watch it All The Time!
ReplyDelete
