Favourite song.
This is the lunge track in body pump and for some reason I freaking love it. It seriously does pump me up. Weird song title, but whatever.
Favourite Album
Yes, this differs to the above. I randomly came across a Savage Garden song the other week and ever since have been jamming to their music again like it's 2000 or something. No shame in my game.
Favourite drink
On St Paddy's, we had a little shindig at work and we had lots of Irish drinks. Now, we all know I don't like Guinness, but it had been yeeeeeaaaars since I had a baileys, so I decided to taste it again. Holy mother of all that is delicoius in the world. Lotta baileys, little splash of milk = delicious. In fact, so delicious I drank a whole bottle in less than 3 days. Oh yes, go ahead and judge on that one.
Meanwhile, how amazing does this baileys cookies and cream look?
But I am being good because hello my cruise is in less than 3 months, and I haven't had any chocolate, lollies, chips, etc since Sunday (i.e. when my baileys ran out).
So let's pretend this recipe below looks as good as the one above. We have an extra jar of this salsa at home so I keep meaning to make this Salsa Verde Chicken Enchiladas - it only uses 4 ingredients. Easy peasy, my kind of meal.
Favourite movie
KC and I saw Deadpool, which was funny but very adult-y. It had
Favourite makeup thingys
I am not a fan of the word (or meaning) 'dupe' but I do like a good drugstore product so I loved this buzzfeed article that my friend Sara shared with me. It has 19 'insanely good makeup dupes that will save you tons of money'. I actually own a few of them already, and might have purchased a few of them earlier this week don't judge me.
Another makeup thingy that 'bout blew my mind was Jaelan's post about everyday highlighting & contouring in 2 minutes. I don't watch a lot of makeup videos on youtube (except when I waste 8 hours doing so) and it's mostly because I just can't translate what I see on a video into something my brain/hands can understand, and do what they do. I don't know if there is something wrong with me or if I am missing something, but no matter how hard I try, my makeup never looks like theirs. But Jaelan's post was actually easy to understand and I also might have bought the product she used, so go check it out.
Unlike the eyeshadow I just can't seem to master......
Favourite Funnies
Brittany shared this buzzfeed article and it made me laugh all the laughs, and I promptly sent it to KC.
That's all folks. Have a fabulous weekend!
PS. I am not off work today. Lame. In Australia, we have Good Friday off and we have Easter Monday. Which means 4 day weekend. What the shit, America?
I love that song!! I used to listen to it with the kids I nannied and they loved it too....even though they didn't really understand it haha. Am I horrible? And LOL at "marriage is just texting each other until one of you dies" hahaha. My life.
ReplyDeleteSeriously impressed that you finished a bottle of baileys in three day, like impressed in a really good way! My old job got good Friday off and it was awesome!
ReplyDeleteSAVAGE GARDEN! holy time warp. actually, i only listen to old school; too much crap on the radio these days.
ReplyDeleteI have heard Deadpool is good! too bad they had to make Ryan Reynolds face all weird for it. that definitely saddens me! He was a guest on Michael and Kelly a few weeks ago and I was so surprised with how hilarious he was! seriously he was bursting with personality. I love seeing celebrities that are actually real life somewhat normal people.
ReplyDeleteI live the grocery store text every week.
ReplyDeleteI love Bailey's!
Yup, going to listen to the Savage Garden cd now! SO good! And those enchiladas might be made in my house this weekend. Love me some Mexican! And don't even get me started on those Bailey's cookies and cream things. I would eat so many I'd probably throw up lol! Happy Friday! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteLoved these favorites! What a fun post. The grocery store texting made me LOL. I do NOT understand how to contour and everything I watch about it shows me that I would look much better if I did, but I would need to spend $183 on products just for my under eye area. I am going to watch your 2 minute video and hope for the best! And then I'll read about the 19 drugstore products and spend that $183 at the drugstore! LOL.
ReplyDeleteBailey's is delicious and savage garden is awesome! And reading that last meme, I totally blew more out of my nose, when I laughed at it, and was like hmmmm. Hah!
ReplyDeleteOH MY!! Baileys and cookies, yes please!! Love me some baileys. Sort of wish I had some right now. I totally tried contouring but I looked ridiculous. I also tried baking which was even worse. Makeup artist I will never be.
ReplyDeleteThat is SOOO my smokey eye
ReplyDeleteI love the reviews on the mockumentary is "Hilarious" 20 times across the top - haha .. .is this on Netflix?
I love Savage Garden! That meme about marriage just made me lmfao! It's so true!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I hated the PB&J song when we first learned it, but now I freaking love it. Taught it three times this week already...#visualize it!
ReplyDeleteI cannot do a smokey eye to save my life!! Love the drugstore dupes and that bailey's cookies n cream looks delish!! I love having a little Bailey's over ice when I need something sweet! Make today work, Rachel -CubicleCouture
ReplyDeleteI love makeup dupes...and that makes it okay to buy more!! Oh my gosh dying over those funnies about marriage...I can't tell you how many times I text gary if we need anything from the store! Have a great weekend! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteThat is me every Sunday when I have a strong craving for Chic Fil A, it never fails! I need that Savage Garden album in my life, and maybe that fun hat from the food pyramid too! Happy Easter Weekend gurlie <3
ReplyDeleteGreen Fashionista
I typically drink my coffee black, but I cannot resist hazelnut Baileys. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the 31 People Who Are Nailing Marriage... hilarious! And I might have just blown more air out of my nose than normal when laughing at them :) Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteThat Bailey's cookies and cream...oh heck yes.
ReplyDeleteUnless it falls on spring break, Colorado and Alaska schools (that I've worked at) don't get a 3-day or 4-day. We did in PA and Missouri though. It's different everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say that with the food pyramid, if you cut off the top and bottom, you get sadness.
What the shit, America?! is right. I'm working all weekend. Holler.
ReplyDeleteOKAY, Savage Garden?! YES. I may or may not have bust out in song as soon as I saw that album picture.
My best friend had a dog named Bailey, and when she had to be put to sleep we spent the whole night drinking shots of Baileys. Don't think I can ever drink it again now
ReplyDeleteGlad I shared that makeup link with you :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, that joke about marriage just being a continuous text about what you need from the grocery...serious LOL!!!!
OMG all of this!!! That pyramid paper hat????? Haha!!! And I LOVE Savage Garden and totally have an I Heart Radio station devoted to them... they are the shizz!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I love Savage Garden! I actually have that very CD in my car and pop it in the stereo from time to time. Love their music!
ReplyDeleteAnd the smokey eye thing... it's embarrassing how much that is real life for me, ha!
LOL! I want a 4 day weekend! Yes please. I have clicked on basically all of these links now. So off to do that for a bit. I am DYING OVER THE FOOD PYRAMID THING. LOLOLOLOLL. I loved P&P&Z. I did not see Deadpool, maybe we will eventually... but KC was kinda "meh" on it, so we decided not to spend $30 LOL. We made Baileys brownies for our St. Paddy's game night, all the noms. Definitely put shamrock sprinkles on them, because why the hell not? Did not drink any Baileys as I found a bottle of coconut rum with a mermaid on the label. So my life is now complete. LOLOL We saw What We Do in the Shadows in theatres whenever that was. We laughed so much. It was hilarious. KC really loves Flight of the Conchords, and it has some of them in it. I lost it when they had a "Bat Fight!" lololllolololol Funny. Um, totes making these enchiladas. NOM. Happy weekend! XO - Alexandra
ReplyDeleteSimply Alexandra: My Favorite Things
America just likes to make us miserable with work. Its complete bullshit!!! I am laughing so hard over the happiness hat of the pyramid!! It is so true!! And I love some Savage Garden!!! Truly Madly Deeply forever and ever and ever. Off to read the dupe article. Dupe dupe dupe. Hehehe Happy Weekend!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDo you know what is hilarious?! I just told Caleb TWO NIGHTS AGO how much I loved Savage Garden. "I wannnaa stand with you on a mountain"... ;) so funny. No shame whatsoever! Enjoy your weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteThat song IS really pump-uppy! I love that you're throwing it back to Savage Garden too, oh the 90s! I thought Deadpool had some funny parts but it's been SO hyped up that I was a little disappointed with it overall.
ReplyDeleteLOL at the smokey eye meme because that's totally me too. I used to be obsessed with makeup tutorials, but they never work on me. I haven't seen that buzzfeed article about being married, but it looks hilarious from what you posted. I think there were a few weeks over winter where I was having hot chocolate (that I don't even really like that much) with the caramel baileys in it-- SO good. and OMG the paper hat food pyramid-- so hilarious!
ReplyDeleteAww, a lot of places do get Good Friday off here. :( I used to get the Monday off in college, but that's about it ! I like the happiness paper hat! So hilarious! Baileys is amazing. We went on a boat tour last weekend with some childhood friends who were visiting me, and had baileys and hot chocolate. The best cold weather drink!
ReplyDeleteYES to Savage Garden! We play a Savage Garden song -- that Cherry Cola one -- at work regularly and I jam out.
ReplyDeleteI Redboxed What We Do In The Shadows on a whim a month ago or so and am so glad that I did. It was so funny! I saw Deadpool last week and loved it as well. Very adult-y, but I dig that so I was happy. One couple in the theater did walk out about 15 minutes in.
Love the food pyramid! I have been generally good this whole year, but the last couple of weeks have been a struggle. My diet has much more resembled the paper hat of happiness than I would like.
Savage Garden is just so good! I always love turning on the 90s or early 2000's stations on pandora and jamming out! That sucks that you didn't get off for Good Friday and I wish that we got Monday off too! We've heard such great things about Deadpool and I can't wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteYeah so happy you linked up today! Your funnies cracked me up today and I definitely blew some air out of my nose on a few of them ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love those marriage tweets. I can related to the thermostat negotiations. Hope you have a great weekend!

LOL! My husband and I are so guilty of the "need anything from the store" text. That is second to our "What do you want for dinner?" text. Have a wonderful Easter and weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh yea, just blew more air out of my nose ;). Savage Garden, bringing me back. Love it.
ReplyDeleteSavage Garden for life! Bahaha. I will have to check out that list of drugstore products and the quick contour tutorial!
ReplyDeleteThat last meme though...I'm laughing because I literally "blew air" out of my nose after reading it. Haha!
ReplyDeleteThat buzzfeed article on marriage is hilarious. As is all the "HILARIOUS" reviews on the movie poster for 'What We Do in the Shadows'. I've never even heard of this movie, but I've added it to my never-ending list of movies to watch.
Oh man, no Good Friday off at all? & here I was salty because I went to a religious college so we got Holy Thursday, Good Friday & after Easter Monday off. & all I got the past few years with work was Good Friday.
ReplyDeleteI love that thermostat negotiations. The BF tells me whenever I turn up the thermostat that he's gonna send me a bill for the difference. Haha
SAVAGE GARDEN!! My sister-in-law is still obsessed with them. Ha.
ReplyDeleteThat salsa verde chicken looks delicious.
Aw - what a fun treat. I'm so glad you liked that post! Thanks.
Yes to Savage Garden! P&P&Z is such a fun movie, and that teenager post is so true :)
ReplyDeleteI'm digging that Galantis song - we also love their son Runaway if you haven't heard it! I'm not sure that I've had Bailey's - probably at some point over the years . . . I may have to get some in honor of you! But I could eat my weight in enchiladas . . . so there's that! The marriage and food pyramid funnies - YES! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeletelove that you used the term 'lollies'! in my last job, I worked closely with australians and we always used to joke about that word, it's so cute!
ReplyDeletexx, lauren
I always crave Chick-fil-A on a Sunday. UGH. That Bailey's dessert looks soooo goood!
ReplyDeleteLordy, Savage Garden! Loved them back in the day. I need them with one of those Bailey's cups-o-goodness right about now to make this day a whole lot better!
ReplyDeleteThat song is so catchy! I love Bailey's but sometimes it can be too sweet. That graphic with the eye makeup tutorial is me all day, everyday!
ReplyDeleteSavage Garden! Please tell me it's on CD too, right? No iTunes when the Garden was around and big! And that last meme is so true. I just snort and blow air ;)
ReplyDeleteThe enchiladas look amazing to me! We're always looking for new variations!
ReplyDeleteOMG, Savage Garden - that brings back all the middle school memories! So good. And now I want some Baileys. Is it June yet? ;)
ReplyDeleteWhoa those Bailey's cookies and cream look amazing! I'm also trying to stay away from sweets so now I'm just thinking about them nonstop lol. I feel like the only day that I ever crave Chick fil a on Sunday because I can never have it, it's so unfair!
ReplyDeleteI laughed at your last sentence, of course. I was explaining to my mom that on one hand, Australia is a much more secular (less religious) society as a whole...on the other hand, Australia honors Good Friday and Easter Monday. Shrugs shoulders. I'll take it!!
ReplyDeleteI lovvvve make-up. But, I don't watch make-up tutorials. I like to play with make-up and be creative on my own. Sometimes I might look clown-like but whatevs.
so many things in this post that made me laugh! i do have to say that only 2 of those are dupes on that list! but hey, they are a little similar, and they save money! woo hoo!
ReplyDeletethe vamp mockumentary has been on my list to watch since i saw the previews once. it will be watched this weekend!
i love that song--my first time hearing it and it is so bright and colorful!
I love that Peanut Butter Jelly song and I actually have it on one of my yoga playlists! The up-tempo one I only use when I have lots of under-30 people in my class haha :)
ReplyDeleteAlso that thermostat negotiation... LOL. That would be me for sure.
I do not understand make up tutorials either. So no smokey eyes or contouring for me!
ReplyDeleteYou don't have a 4 day weekend?! That's a shocker. I'm not sure how you're surviving, really. I'm all about the easy dinners and currently writing my meal plan so going to check out that recipe now... Are gluten free tortillas easy to come by with you? They're not at all here, I can buy special ones but they're a bit expensive. Sigh. Coeliac problems.
ReplyDeleteAnd yay Savage Garden! I loved them so much. So much nostalgia!
While I WAS off on Monday it was only because I had to take a vacation day SO I think America needs to make Easter Monday a thing...
ReplyDeleteSome day I'll learn how to contour. I swear I watch the videos, but when it comes to my own face I end up looking like a clown!
ReplyDeleteAlso, everything was closed in NZ on Good Friday and Monday too. I wish it was a thing in the US.
