Favourites Lately

It's been a hot minute since I shared some favourites, and I have quite a few! Linking up with Amanda.

Favourite Purchases

Bought some striped flats from Express for 50% off (not currently on sale, womp) and I love them. I used to have a pair of striped flats that I wore until they (literally) fell apart, and I had been searching for a replacement for ages. Love these. Fabulous and super comfy (shown in the last picture below).

I'm also crazy obsessed with my Express One Eleven London tees. I have 6 of them (white, striped, blue, grey, black and 'berry'). Even at full price they are super affordable and I've worn them a bunch, washed and dried them and they are just as soft and fabulous. They are long in the back and I love the longer sleeves, and did I mention I love them? The one I wear the least is the berry colour, just because it's not as neutral as the others and I gravitate towards more neutral colours. I've still worn it twice though, which shows how much I love these tops!

Those links are affiliate, meaning if you click, I make like 2 cents so thanks for that. And you should click, because those tees are legit my favourite thing of all time.

Favourite recipe - Bruschetta Chicken

I love bruschetta (who doesn't), so when I saw this I knew it was right up my alley. Basically, I just really love tomatoes. This feels summery to me, which doesn't really match the weather outside, but whatever. Let me eat my tomatoes.

Speaking of recipes, has anyone tried the omelette in a bag? I suck at omelettes, so I really want to try this bag trick. I found it via this website.

Favourite workouts

I have been loving my body pump and other classes at my new gym, but the other day I got home and hadn't done anything in the morning and didn't want to go back out - I love these one song workouts because I have a very short attention span whilst working out at home.

Favourite Posts

I am going on my first cruise in June (KC has already been on one) and I have been bugging all the bloggers I know who have gone on cruises. Kate being one of them has answered a million and one questions already, but this post of hers all about cruising was super helpful and informative and you should totally check it out.

Tracy's post on hiking in Hollywood made me really want to go there and hike and stuff. You should check it out. I'm not a hiking person, and she definitely sold me on it.

Helen's post on meal planning for beginners was super interesting - I'm trying to get better at meal planning as it's one of my goals this year, and it really did help.

Also, really loved Emily's post on hosting brunch at home. My girlfriends and I love hosting brunch at our houses, and it's been quite awhile since we've done it and her post made me want to have them over for a fancy brunch!

Finally, if you haven't joined Erin's book challenge, you really should! Or you should just join the facebook group so you can join the next one. She did a bloggers love book challenges post and it showed how many people have joined, and she has people from all over the world! She only has 19 states though, so.... y'all should join. Just sayin.

and some funnies

This might not make sense to you, or it might because perhaps it's not exclusive to Australians, but if you know an Australian or you've ever heard me talk, hopefully you find it as funny as I did.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

  14. When Chris' family goes to a State Park every year, we always do the omelettes in a bag, and they're so good! Plus, it gives you the option to choose your favorite toppings! Katie's post about cruises really was so helpful, and it really made me want to go on another cruise and book a room with a balcony!

  15. That chicken looks so good! Pinned for sure! I want to go on a cruise so bad. I'm hoping maybe it could happen this summer.

  18. Love the London tees from Express. They look great on you and super comfy! I need a nice but comfy black or white shirt to wear with coloured jeans :) hmmmmm lol.

Thanks for sharing the link to that hiking in Hollywood post! Joey and I are going in February and I really want to do something like that! (It may take some convincing, since he's not a HUGE hiking fan, but I think the views would be so worth it!)

  19. You are too cute! I clicked all your links. Enjoy that six cents! Woo hoo! I have seen those omlette in a bag things and they freak me out for some reason. I actually just watched one of those Tasty videos where they microwaved one in a mug and it looked decent. I just make mine the old fashioned way. Have a wonderful weekend, Love! xo

  27. We do omelettes in a bag when we go to the mountains or any kind of vacay with a large group. Everyone gets to make their own and you can cook them all at once in a big pot so everyone eats together. Works like a charm!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ok I know you didn't even mention this, but I just love your grey jacket in that first picture! So cute. Happy weekend, lady!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Okay, I really need to try those Express tees. They look so comfortable. And, omelette in a bag? I need to figure that out.

  30. bahaha that kitten. So cute. I kind of love that top and those shoes... hmm must investigate this. I got some great vnecks at H&M but they seem to shrink super easily. Bummer. That chicken looks amazing. We made a chicken bruschetta past and it's super summery and delightful. Where are you going on your cruise (can't remember!), my KC really wants to take another one. :) It's very laid back planning wise, I think he's ready for that LOL! :) XO - Alexandra

  40. I hadn't seen that tee before but it does look like a winner! Oh girl I hope you love your cruise as much as I did mine - and yes, the room with the balcony is just heavenly!

  41. I've always been curious about the omelette in a bag, but knowing my cooking luck I'd do something that would just end up disastrous so I've left that hack to the internet.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Those Express tees are perfect and a seriously good price. That chicken looks good too, definitely summery but it was 62º here yesterday so who the hell cares about weather-appropriate anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Can I steal your affiliate disclosure?! That's amazing! Those t's look great. I love finding something that works and buying every color!

    ReplyDelete

  46. LOL at that last gif-- I wish it was Friday already... I've never heard of/seen that omelet in a bag type of thing, totally interested in how it would work out! haha. And I love drop shoulders so I bet I would love those shirts too, and so nice that they wash well! I hate when you have a shirt you love, but it just doesn't hold up very well.

  47. Where the flip have "one song workouts" been all my life?!?!?!? That is such a good idea!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I need to save this post for everything! A comfy tee in all the colors is right up my alley. Bruschetta Chicken sounds and looks delish. Not so sure about that omelet in a bag. Looks like a setup for failure. Lol. The tips for the cruise and meal planning is a need! Thanks for sharing!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Love the tees and the flats, winner. It's awesome when you find something that works and you can just buy over and over again!

That omelette in a bag thing looks like a recipe for an egg based kitchen disaster for me. I don't do well with overly life-hack-y or pinterest-y cooking!

Off to read the cruising post now... never been on one before, and may be planning one for this Autumn! Eek!
