My Top 5 Favourite Target Purchases

We all love Target, right? I know I mentioned that I am not as infatuated with it as other people seem to be, but that doesn't mean I don't shop there, it doesn't mean that I can't drop $100 in 10 minutes, it just means I'm a shopaholic and could do that anywhere.

I'm more in love with Target.com than actual an actual Target. Especially because free shipping thanks to my redcard. Their shipping used to suck, but its gotten better. Anyway, I digress. FYI, this post contains affiliate links.

I have bought plenty from Target that did not work out - I could probably write 10 posts filled with the crap that I returned or threw out. I don't have the best luck with Target clothes, so I rarely buy them anymore. However, partly thanks to reviews (and blogger friends, lets be real) and partly because I can't resist buying shit, I have discovered a few gems and wanted to share them with you. Because that's what we do here in blogland, we enable each other. You're welcome.

Black Darcy Wedges.
I stumbled across these while shopping with Megan. I thought they were cute, I tried them on and wanted them but I didn't want to pay $30 for Target shoes. Then I noticed the name and I gasped (loudly) and Megan thought I was having a heart attack or something. So naturally, I bought them. These shoes are so comfy - of course, they require the normal first wear to break them in but I LOVE them and highly recommend, not just because of the name. Also, I totally paid full price (well, 5% off) which is unheard of, but I mean, they were only $30.

One of my friends (in the blue) also bought them, but she's not a huge fan of heels and didn't love them as much as I did. I will definitely say that the first time I wore them was that night and my feet hurt but that was my fault for not breaking them in, because they are so comfortable now.

Also, the black dress on the right is also from Target and while I do love it (and it's currently on sale and available in more colours) I wouldn't say it was one of my top favourite purchases, because I don't wear / use it as much as the other things on this list.

Sam & Libby Chelsea Flats.

These are actually leather, which I didn't realise before (oops). I try not to buy leather, so while I love these, I doubt I will purchase any more. They are very comfortable, though they feel a bit flimsy at first. I wear them to work all the time and have taken them to Australia and Europe. The bow is cute, but subtle so it isn't like screaming I'm wearing a bow. Highly recommend, but wait for a sale because Target is kidding themselves with that $35 price tag. I own them in black and natural, though natural doesn't seem to be available anymore.

Striped boatneck tee.

Unfortunately, this one is the only one that is currently not available but I am sure Target will bring this back because they'd be crazy not to. In fact, when I bought it, people were saying 'huzzah thank you for bringing it back!' so they've done it before. Anyway, it's still available in xx small if you're that tiny. If not, my fingers are crossed they bring it back, and when they do, I'll be buying a replacement or five. It is so comfy and long (long!!) and the stripes match up and it's only $12 and it's the best striped boatneck you will ever buy for $12.

V Neck Linen Tee.

I normally dislike v neck tees immensely. They always sit weird on me. I ordered this one because of the good reviews, I think, and I am so glad I did. It sits lower than a normal v neck (on me, anyway) and I LOVE it. It's only $12 and I have it in grey and white. It is 'rougher' than a normal tee, but to me that just means it doesn't wrinkle easily and it is much more durable. I seriously love it. It's long, as well (huzzah!). I am contemplating getting more colours. I love the grey one the most, and yes I wore it the same way in the pictures but one is KY and other in Rome, lol. Let me tell you how amazing it was to pack that grey tee (or smoosh it) and it come out basically wrinkle free. I brought along a white tee (not the target one) and it was ridiculously wrinkled. As soon as I got back, I ordered the white one from Target. Wish I had bought it before Europe, but no matter. Highly recommend this tee.

This mug or this mug or this mug.

I LOVE these mugs. I want the plain white ones, but right now I only have the beaded ones. I did have the stripe one but I might have accidentally broke it (I'm clumsy, leave me alone). I love that they are so big. Really not much else to say except I love.these.mugs. You can also buy them on their own in store or online (stripe, plain, beaded). It's my second favourite mug to drink out of (first is Mike Wazowski) but it's definitely the prettiest, hence the reason it pops up on instagram a lot.

Look, I even got a picture of the striped one (the stripes are very subtle) before I broke it.

Anywho. Honorable mention to my pearce pumps, they are no longer available but they are the most comfortable heels I have ever owned and I'm kicking myself that I didn't buy them in more colours. Love. Them. As you can see, I wear them a lot. If they ever bring them back, I'm buying more. I've had them for 2+ years and they still look as fabulous as the day I bought them, plus they go with everything!

So there you go. I just wanted to share my favourite things I have purchased from Target. Unsurprisingly, most of them are clothes.

Linkin up with Kels for the return of her secret blogger club.

Perhaps I am more infatuated with Target than I thought! Can you name your favourite purchase from Target?

  5. Girl, I am right there with you on my infatuation with Target! My husband says I single handedly keep our Target in business since I go at least 2-3 times a week just to "see what they have". LOL! I don't even know if I can pick one thing I love the most! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

  7. Love your shoes and shirts, so glad they have held up well. You rock them fabulously, darling. I have three long sleeved shirts I LOVE from Target and am hoping to snag a plaid soon for fall. I enjoy the store when I'm there but I don't go as often as other people.

  8. I read this and then was thinking, "I don't really have anything from Target... oh wait." Yeah, the top I'm wearing right now (which was actually a maternity top but I didn't realize at the time!), and a cardigan in my closet. Only 2 things, but considering how thoroughly I purged, making the final cut is impressive! I love your outfit pictures! You are so cute!!!

  11. The closes Target to me is about a 40 minute drive and it's not even a good Target. I miss shopping in Targets shoe section, they have the best shoes.

  12. Hmm, are those Darcy wedges "stand on your feet all day at work" comfortable? They are so cute!

    1. Also, I wish I would have known about that striped boat neck tee before I bought an exact replica that was definitely NOT $12 at Gap!

  13. I almost tried the linen v-neck the other day. I am wayyyyy over due for new v-necks... I will have to amend this, maybe after we get paid again.... I definitely binge bought tops last weekend. : / I love flats of all kinds, those are super super cute. I recently bought a pair of patent nude colored ones there, my feet were dying inbetween a wedding and reception... so I bought them and wore them out of the store. I actually really love them! :) I love the faux leather leggings. I wear those suckers three times a week, and I also have three ish pairs... :) XO -Alexandra

  16. I have a couple pairs of flats from Target that I adore. However, one pair is so beat up that I don't think I can wear them anymore. Hopefully, they are brought back and I can buy new! It's been hit and miss with me and their clothes lately, everything just seems to fit weird!

  18. I used to have those wedges in gray and I wore them into oblivion. I hate heels but those are perfect for me, especially to leave at work. You have inspired me to buy another pair.

  19. I should go and buy more off target.com since I have a red card too!

  20. My husband is about to get so mad at me! Must exercise some self control. haha I really want those wedges, but I can't really walk in heels so it might be the thing that kills me. hmmmm To buy or not to buy.

  21. I mean target is just the best! Their home stuff is such a great price for really great quality! I've only had a few shoe purchases from target, but both have been great!! Love your striped t! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  22. I actually forget about Target online - I have the red card & need to take advantage of free shipping too!

I don't see striped t's & not think of you...

    ReplyDelete
  23. I've actually never bought any clothes from Target before, but that's only because it was never too popular in Canada. From your recommendations it looks like they have some awesome stuff, so I will make sure to lurk their shirts and shoes!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I love Target. I buy practical things there sometimes, but usually it's things I totally don't need like a llama in glasses and a goat in rain boots salt and pepper shaker set. My all time favorite though was a grey off the shoulder sweater that I wear ALL the time. I love it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Those flats!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish they still had the neutral, I could really use a pair of neutrals! I totally want that beaded mug right now too. Damn you Target!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I love how you put in pictures of yourself showing off all the purchases!! I have boycotted Target for a year, but broke down and went when we moved. Though I'm impressed I was able to not buy anything from them for a whole year and not even miss it. I love those shoes, I'm a sucker for a wedge! I've actually have a few pieces from Target that I've had for like 5 years, of course some have only made it a wear or two as well, but the same thing is true from stuff I've gotten at Gap, Limited, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  27. you have some great purchases from there!!! I have not shopped at Target for clothes in a long while now. Mainly bc they are more in the burbs but those first pair of shoes make me want to go there right now! Those are really, really cute!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Love this recap of Target favorites!! And actually, I think I agree with you on not being a superfan of them as much as other people! Like you, I still shop there and find some goodies, but I've had a lot of misses (especially in the clothes department) so that's cooled my passion for shopping there. And I didn't know you didn't like V Necks! I am the opposite - v neck tees only please!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I love target. But really, who doesn't? I have a bit of a hard time with their clothes too... I'm usually too small for them. Plus there sizing is weird. At least on me. Every once in a while I find something that fits like a glove though :)

  30. I have those wedges in a teal version from years past, I love them!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I love the flats and the wedges. My Target shoe purchases have been hit or miss for comfort but all have been durable and lasted quite a while.
What we buy every time we go to Target are the gigantic Charlston Chews in the dollar bin. They are a family favorite and we make trips in where that is all we get, we don't look at anything else just grab them and go.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I love the white beaded mug! I have burgundy heels that I think are basically just the heel version of those wedges. The heel is thick though, which I love! I should probably buy those wedges because I'm sure I could wear black wedges with basically everything. And another blogger swears by those boatneck tees too! But she owns like every color I think haha.

  33. I LOVE Target so much. I love that striped shirt.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Honestly, I have never shopped much at Target for clothes, but you have definitely convinced me to look at the shoes! I did buy boots there two seasons ago for $10, and I still love them!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I love Target for the seasonal items and the decor, but I always strike out in the clothing department.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I love those black wedges! I bought a very similar pair from Express but they're slightly too big so my foot slips out of them. So annoying! I really need to stop buying shoes online and go into the store to try them on. Same goes for bras and bathings suits! lol

  37. I can find a lot at Target and it amazes me how much more stuff is on Target.com!

  40. Count me in as a Target obsessive. I actually was just there tonight BUT I managed to get out of there ONLY with what I went in planning to buy. (Impending funemployment has that affect on me, apparently.) I love literally every single thing you listed here. Target just knows how to do it right, for real.

  41. Target is totally amazing. They have a variety of items at wonderful prices. The black Darcy wedges are absolutely gorgeous. I could definitely see myself wearing them. :]

  42. Awesome basics from Target. Love the striped shirt and u think I have that tee but patterned.

  43. The flats with the bows are all kinds of adorable. I'm actually wearing a dress that I bought from Target when I was in the US in May.

    ReplyDelete
  44. You have the perfect eye! I have a really hard time making selections of the perfect things. Can I hire you to come help me shop? Please and thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I love it all! I'm the same way, not the biggest Target fan in the world but that doesn't meant I can't spend a shit ton of money there. I'm the same way about V necks (I feel like we may have talked about this?) but I love how the grey one looks one you AND am in need of both grey and white tees. I love the wedges but really have no need for heels, otherwise I'd be all over those too

  46. My heart rate def increased when I read "Darcy," so yeah...we're in the same club for sure. Love your outfits in this post! And that mug. I have never coveted a mug this much, or ever.

    ReplyDelete
  47. You have found some great things at Target! I love Target. So much in fact, that I try to avoid going because I will just buy things I don't need. I think they have some great clothing.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I've been trying to be good about shopping since I have so many other expenses right now but OMG you have me running to the Target site to buy things. Ahh!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I SO wish we had Target. I want absolutely everything you've listed, except the heels because I walk like a farmer in heels. I'm a big fan of shops where you can fulfil multiple needs at once eg cute tshirt plus instagram friendly mug? Yeah I can see how money would just vanish from my wallet in that shop.

    ReplyDelete
  50. My Target has crap for shoes but I love those pearce pumps. You'll have to let me know if you find them again. The Darcy wedges were a must with that name!

    ReplyDelete
  51. loving those pumps! both the target and your old one. my ole faithful wedge pumps are starting to get bad. you got some great target finds.

    ReplyDelete
  52. So, now I need to go to Target... Those wedges need to be mine :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Hey, I also have that v neck linen tee, and somehow it looks way cuter on you than it does on me... Even before I got pregnant! Hmmm... I also just got a super cute Fall is Here sign in the dollar aisle (dang I love that aisle!) and a really cute plaid that's currently on my IG... I'm starting to actually like Target. Shocker. But I am!

  54. All fantastic purchases! This doesn't help me or my bank account though, because I have a Target trip planned for tomorrow eeeeeeek.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Oooh I love those wedges! Also the striped boat neck and I am really disappointed those nude heels aren't available! I LOVE nude shoes. I thought I loved my chinese laundry pair, but I wore them to a wedding recently and they just are not as comfortable as I remember! Maybe my foot grew a little, who knows. I don't think I wore them after I had Emily so it is possible! lol xo

    ReplyDelete
  56. All of these purchases are fabulous. I love Target and can't complain about their quality on things. I need to order that vneck - love!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I just got back from shopping at Target & finally found brown non-leather boots to replace the ones I got there 6+ years ago. Oh, & I too bought that striped shirt last year (along with the plain black version). Can't wait till it gets colder so I can wear them again!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I love that striped boatneck tee! I hope it comes back soon!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I love Target, but I honestly haven't bought much clothing there. I have to say, though, that their new advertising campaign is working its magic on me. Every time I see a commercial, I'm like, "This makes me want to go to Target and buy all the things!"

    ReplyDelete
  60. I like the v-neck tees. I have so many tees but I want slightly longer ones and these might be perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I bought the Sam & Libby flats this weekend. They didn't have black leather in my size, so I got the black felty ones. OMG. The most comfortable shoes I own now. I saw them on the end as I was passing by the shoe department - I wasn't even shopping for shoes. But I remembered what you had said about them so I tried them on. $35.00 later and my 15 year old daughter wants to steel them from me. Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Those wedges were worth the $30 solely for the name. :) I just bought that linen v-neck tee before we left for Puerto Rico, and holy moly - it is my new favorite shirt. I agree with everything you said about it! I'll definitely be picking it up in more colors.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I love those Target mugs! They've been having some really quality kitchen stuff lately! I bought these heritage glass jars for sugar and flour and I love how they look displayed on my kitchen counter:)

So funny- I ordered conditioner from Target a few days ago and before reading this post was just thinking I wonder what happened to it because I haven't got a notification that it shipped yet, haha. But I'm with you on loving the website it seems like they often have better sales and extra discount codes and whatnot. Love those linen v-neck tees too and all of the stripes!

  65. Oh, Target tees! That's pretty much all I wear when I travel! So versatile and comfy. Those flats are super cute too!
