Here's what I've read so far:
A YA book - Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi (341 pages)
A book that was recommended by a blogger - Saving Francesca by Melina Marchetta - recommended by several bloggers. (243 pages)
A book that is or will be a movie (or TV show) - Paper Towns by John Green (305 pages)
A book written by a comedian or celebrity – or even a memoir if neither of those are your jam. Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling (222 pages)
A book with a one word title. Room by Emma Donoghue (321 pages)
A book about Summer, with Summer in the title, or in any way related to Summer because this is a Summer challenge! The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han.(276 pages)
I haven't read anything since the last Show Us Your Books link up, because hashtag lazy. So I have nothing new to report!
And here's what I have left:
Non US Author - Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty (460 pages)
A book that has been on your TBR list for a year or more - The Reader by Bernhard Schlink (215 pages)
A book with a kickass female character - Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein (441 pages)
A suspenseful book – a mystery, a thriller, a book about revenge! You by Caroline Kepnes (422 pages)
Link up if you want to with how you are doing!
I read Big Little Lies and two other of Liane Moriarty's books, they're easy, fun reads but she keeps irritating me with the endings lol! I heard Paper Towns wasn't that good, you'll have to let me know what you think. I'm currently reading The Royal We but I need a good recommendation for when I'm done!

I just read my first Jenny Han book and I really love her style so I will probably look into The Summer I turned pretty.
ReplyDeleteI apparently have quite a few more to read. I keep reading books not on the challenge haha. Oops!!! I have to read Big Little Lies and You still too....along with several others. I am listening to Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me on my way to work this week. Amazing how much her books is sort of like her show Mindy Project!
ReplyDeleteYou will get through Big Little Lies in no time at all! Its a great one :D Tell me if through the ever night was good :)
ReplyDeleteDone done done! Can't wait until you read the mind F that is You. LOL
ReplyDeleteI liked The Reader a lot. It was a hard book but a good one.
So many good ones! I can't wait to hear what you think of Big Little Lies- I felt so conflicted about it. I literally have my list still in my drafts post, can I still join next month?!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to have to change my "kickass female" book because I've had Code Name Verity on my shelf for ages!
ReplyDeleteI mean you slacking is me during a really great year of reading lol! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to have to change my "kickass female" book because I've had Code Name Verity on my shelf for ages!
ReplyDeleteI have Big Little Lies and You at home waiting to be read :) looking forward to reading them!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of All the Light We Cannot See and I have a feeling it's going to take me the rest of the summer to finish this one! Big Little Lies was so good!
ReplyDeleteI loved Big Little Lies and The Reader. I'm considering Room and You so let us know how they are! My issue, to be honest, is that I'm having trouble tracking down some of my challenge books. I have 3 more to go.
ReplyDeleteLook at you go, lady! I didn't have much new to say either, but it's always good to be reminded of the books I have to add to my list :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you for getting all this reading done! You're keeping me motivated to do the same. :) I'll be interested to hear how you like The Reader - it's an interesting story.
ReplyDeleteWhen the challenge is over I'm definitely going to read Big Little Lies and Room. They're on my list!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these! But I love some YA fiction so I'm going to check out that "Through the Ever Night" book!
ReplyDeleteThis is what a light reading month looks like for you?! Haha. But seriously...you are the reading queen!
ReplyDeletesounds like a great challenge! im impressed :) i hope you like Big Little Lies. i liked that one a lot! xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteWoohoo, you're rocking the reading challenge! I'm looking forward to what you think about You and I'm hoping I get Paper Towns from the library before the end of the challenge so I don't have to change that category!
ReplyDeleteLook forward to what you think of You. I forgot to do the check in but I am almost done.
ReplyDeleteI was going to do an update on my progress, but I got lazy. (Plus I already reviewed all but one of the books I've read for this challenge in my last Show Us Your Books! post ... So yeah.)
ReplyDelete6 down for me, though: YA, Non-U.S. Author, Kickass Female Character, Is (Or Will Be) A Movie/TV Show, and Suspense/Thriller. I've been jumping back and forth between this reading challenge and a few other books I picked up from the library, so it's not going as quickly as I'd hoped. I'll get there eventually, though!
Oh, and I really hope you love Big Little Lies when you get to it. It's one of my favorite books so far this year!
... Or 5 down. I clearly can't count (or read my comments over before I post them). Haha.
DeleteWhat a fun challenge! I'll be flying this weekend, and am hoping to get a lot of reading done. I still need to read Mindy's book :-D
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun challenge! If I wasn't so absent on blog world these days, I would've joined in! But looks like I'll start tracking my reading just to see if I'm keeping up anyways :) And thanks for recommending Saving Francesca to me recently - it's on my to read list!
ReplyDeleteWow, you're doing so well! I've only read 2 books for the challenge this month. Oops!
ReplyDeleteI loved Room and I hope you did too :-)
So many awesome books here! I really want to read Paper Towns. I have SO many books in my TBR pile, it's getting ridiculous! Next on my list is Girl on a Train! Xx
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for you to read You. One of my favorites of the year.
ReplyDeleteI missed that there was a check-in linkup going on because hashtag I clearly don't pay attention but I have 3 left! Celebrity memoir, one word title, and suspense. The library is not cooperating with this part of the challenge.
Welp. . . I managed to read one whole book off of my list. Saint Anything finally came in at the library though, so I'm excited to read that soon!
