Literary Ladies Book Club!

It's book club time!

First off, I wanted to say a huge thank you to Kay and Kari for asking me to join them, not to mention put up with my millions of questions and having to explain things to me (not to mention do things for me) because this is the first time I have ever really done a link up or something. So, thanks ladies for including me and putting up with me.

I'm hopefully having the time of my life in Europe right now (Paris to be exact!) so I'm just scheduling this post in advance popping in to let you know the book that we chose for our very first book club!

Drum roll please.

Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen

You wouldn't believe how hard it is to choose a book club book. Kudos to Kay & Kari for doing it for a year. We wanted to choose something new, wasn't too long, that everyone-ish might be interested in, and wasn't too genre specific. Hopefully we hit the jackpot and I hope you will join us!

We will be linking up and discussing the book on the first Tuesday of the month, so that will be the 4th of August. On the Thursday before, the 30th of July, we will be twitter chatting if you'd like to join us. Don't worry, we'll remind / harass you so you don't forget.

Also, please know that this isn't a full on legit hardcore book club - of course we'd love to read every last thought you had on the book, but we'll settle for an instagram, tweet (#literaryladies), a goodreads discussion, a comment on one of our posts, a one liner on your post for that day or a telepathic message. I mean, whatever floats your boat, it doesn't have to be a full on review.

I hope you'll join us!

  1. I did a book club a few years ago and it was so fun but I always felt so pressured to finish the book in time! I can't wait to follow along with you ladies and get some new book ideas though!

  3. I'm totally going to try and join in. The summer is my busiest time at my full time job (deadlines) but I'm hoping I will have some time to read. Hope you are having a great time in Paris.

  4. Great choice! I love Dessen, so I'm so excited to read her latest and talk about it with people who have actually read the book.

  7. I appreciate you choosing a book I've never heard of! I came across one book club online and the books were all like 3 years old and I'd read half of them already.

  13. I like to pop in and out of these blogger book clubs, but I've found I'm so fickle in reading books.. I like to start a dozen of them instead of finish one.. that it's hard to participate. :P I have Saint Anything in my queue right now too! :)

Thank you so much for your comment! I reply to my comments via email, but I can't do that if you are a no-reply blogger :-) If you are here to be a troll, please kindly bugger off. Thanks!
