But today, I decided to put my copy cat hat on and do this A-Z post that I saw over at Kiki's place.
A. Attached or single?
Attached. I dig him.
B. Best friend?
I have one! I have two. Well, I have four really, but these two are the best of the best. This is a ridiculous old photo because why not.
C. Cake or pie?
Well. I like good cake and I like good pie. Given the choice between so so cake and so so pie, I would choose neither. I like pound cake and apple pie. I would eat both of them if they were in front of me, but random cake or pie, I can easily say no to.
D. Day of choice?
I feel like this is odd. I like Fridays, duh. Saturdays too.
E. Essential item?
My computer. I'm always on it. I'm on it right now. Plus it has flowers on it.
F. Favourite color?
Purple. Surprisingly, I don't wear it that much though. Grey is my favourite colour clothes wise.
G. Gummy bears or worms?
Both! Gummi bears, and sour worms. All the lollies!
H. Home town?
I was born in Kew, Victoria. Lived in Parramatta, NSW most of my life. I live in Kentucky right now. They are all my homes.
I. Favourite indulgence?
Does food count? I like food. I like shopping too. Buying stuff and eating stuff, and I'm a happy duck.
J. January or July?
Trick question? January in Australia, July in America. Summer is my fave.
K. Kids?
I have 3, and they have fur. But as for the ones on two legs, no. None of those yet.
L. Life isn’t complete without?
Laughter. Oy, too cheesy? Sorry. Um, family, friends, books, cats, food. Definitely food.
M. Memory you cherish
I cherish all the memories that I can remember. I seriously can't pin point to any one memory right now. Too much pressure!
N. Number of brothers/sisters?
Two brothers.. four half sisters, but really just two brothers who don't smile.
O. Oranges or Apples?
Apples. But I am a fruit diva, so only honey crisp.
P. Pet Peeves?
People eating with their mouth open. Vomit.
Q. Quotes?
I love a good quote, who doesn't. The one I constantly have to say to myself is 'comparison is the thief of joy'. So true.
R. Reasons to smile?
I have a bazillon reasons to smile, but right now I am smiling (and freaking out) because I am going to DC this weekend.... so excited!

S. Season of choice?
I love Summer. I'm a Summer baby. That being said, I do enjoy the actual having seasons thing here, because they are less defined where I am from. But Summer all day erryday please.
T. Tea or coffee?
Tea. I feel like this is a question on every single question thing, but I dig it. Any chance to remind everyone I hate coffee.
U. Unknown fact about me?
One of my front teeth is half fake. I was rollerblading, trying to be as awesome as my cousin, and I slammed straight into my Nana's garage. Ouch. Clearly I wasn't as good as this guy.
V. Vegetable?
I love vegetables. Spinach especially, it's like the jack of all trades. Goes in errythan.
W. Worst habit?
Slouching.
X. X-Ray or ultrasound?
I have never had an ultrasound but if I had to choose I would obviously go for neither.
Y. Your favorite trip?
Every trip I have taken is better than the last. I loved our girls trip, I loved taking KC to Australia and showing him my 'hood, I loved our Honeymoon because it was the first trip we went on together, I loved NYC because it was awesome... But I'm gonna go ahead and say our Europe trip this June is gonna be my favourite. It hasn't even happened yet, I just know it's gonna be that awesome.
Z. Zodiac sign?
Aquarius. Like all the other cool cats. Fun fact: we say 'zed' not 'zee'. Except when we sing the abcs because 'next time won't you sing with me' doesn't rhyme with zed.
And now you know more than you ever wanted about me, but that's cool. It's how we do. Happy Monday!
Do you celebrate St Paddys? Zee or Zed?
I love reading these and getting to know more about you! And how fun does your early St. Pattys Day celebration sound?? Its always a good time when you can drink and not wear shoes! And wear yoga pants...oh wait, is that just me? And I had no idea one of your teeth was half fake...that accident sounds painfull! #reasonswhyidontrollerblade haha! Happy Monday girl!

That rollerblading meme made my morning! Also, cute pic of you and your (non smiling) brothers! :-)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more with you on honey crisp apples! They are my absolute favorite! And yes to spinach! It goes with and in anything!
ReplyDeletewe say "zed" as well....and here i thought it was only a canadian thing :D
ReplyDeleteFruit diva! Did you know that my great alma mater created the Honey Crisp? (University of Minnesota) You're welcome.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to be pregnant for this St. Patty's and I plan on tearing that ish up! As much as I can with a baby, and not creating a hangover because being hungover with a baby is miserable... So, I'll have a few beers and go to be early ;)
St. Paddy's is my second favorite holiday. Even though, I really do not do anything to celebrate. I wear green and that's about it.
ReplyDeleteFun post! And it's also funny that you are a summer baby as an Aquarius since it's the opposite here...it took me a minute to think about that one. Summer is my favorite season too, I guess I should have been born in Australia! LOL
ReplyDeletei love eating and buying stuff too ;) and im totally jealous of your honeycrisp apples! my husband put the kibosh on those when he saw how much they were. WAH-WAH. im stuck with galas. xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteI love this post and getting to know more about you. Also, love the pictures!
ReplyDeleteOne of my front teeth is half fake too!! We're like trans-continental twins ;)
ReplyDeleteOoo Honeycrisp apples, the best! Love spinach too, it literally does go in anything and I feel like anything I put it in automatically gets a lot healthier, no matter what it is. ;)
ReplyDeleteI read your 'W' and immediate sat up straight. Haha!
ReplyDeleteThese are such fun posts.
Bummer that you aren't a better roller blade skater. ;)
Food is totally my indulgence and I need more of it in my life lol!! I'm so excited for your upcoming trip to Europe - it's going to be amazing!! xo, Biana - BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteLove this post and getting to know you. I LOVE honey crisp apples. Eating and buying stuff is the best. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove these kind of posts! I have been meaning to ask, where all are you guys visiting in Europe?
ReplyDeleteZed! And celebrating St. Patty's Day is always a good time. So so fun, but I just realized that I'm going to be out of town this weekend... did not connect the dots there! Ohh well, I shall have some green beer with my friend either way :) hahaha that rollerblading gif is perf. But poor you - I am way to scared to go roller blading. I bought some a few years ago and totally chickened out after a few tries. Accident waiting to happen!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun post, totally borrowing the idea from you :)!
ReplyDeleteSo sad I'll miss you in DC this weekend :(!
I liked your month answer and the diva comment, too funnY!
Ha - yes to drinking and not putting on shoes! That is the best. And yes to buying stuff and eating stuff. Too funny. Hope you have a good day and yay for DC this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis was a fun post! I am a tea drinker too, but I'm not truly a summer girl because I get sunburned so badly... but I love having summers off, so that makes me a summer kinda girl :)
ReplyDeleteSlouching is my enemy too....
ReplyDeleteI love such fun posts like these where we get to learn more about you :)
All the lollies!! We are alike in a lot of way. We have U in common though mine is from my dog's head jumping up into me mouth.
ReplyDeleteI'm a summer baby, too - I was born in June but I also just live for the season! Jealous your St. Paddy's celebrations already started, can't wait to drink (a few) green beers this weekend!
ReplyDeleteX-ray vs Ultrasound is a really weird one, but I guess they probably had trouble with that letter. :P I would say, if you had to choose, you should go with x-ray. Ultrasounds they put like a vaseline/slimy concoction on you, and then you're all slimy until you can go home and shower. Although ultrasounds are less radiation, so maybe they're better despite the sliminess.
ReplyDeleteI like the ABCs! This is such a fun idea!!!
Great photo with your brothers (silly boys...my brothers are the same way hah). Great minds think alike because I totally have the same cat condo - and will proudly be displaying it on my new screened in porch lol. Can't wait for some St. Pat's fun!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I love the eating and buying stuff -- I'm the happiest when I'm doing both of those!! Your early St. Pat's day celebration looked fun!!! Yay for a weekend in DC!
ReplyDeleteI always love these kind of posts!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you - summer all the way!!
Have fun in DC this weekend! Is it already your half marathon?
I always love these posts :) ahhhhh I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS WEEKEND! And drinking without shoes on is the best way to do it. Glad you got to get your St. Patrick's celebrations in anyway :) And I'm a zee, but I've heard zed from...I can't remember whom haha. But I *have* heard it!
ReplyDeletePurple is my favorite color too....and I wear gray the most! Well, gray and black. I can pretty much pass up cake nearly all of the time...but I love a good pie! I only eat cake for the icing. Shhh :) These posts are always so fun!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh I like the set up of this post! I would have never known your front tooth (well one of them) is faux. I have bonding in my two front teeth because I had quite the gap growing up. Mark has it as well and he broke a little piece off of it a little while ago and it was scary.......he went to get it fixed asap because it was a little dumb and dumber looking ;-)
ReplyDeleteSt. Paddy's! And I used to say zed....It's a Canadian thing so when I moved to the states everyone made fun of me! I hope you have fun in my neck of the woods this weekend and that the weather keeps up for you!
ReplyDeleteI love lists like this - mostly because I'm pretty nosy, haha! But it's always fun to learn more about the gal behind the blog. Looks like it was a fun St. Patty's Day - glad you were able to still celebrate even though you'll be away next weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love this! Cake or pie is def a tough choice and I go through phases. Sometimes I must eat ALL the cake I see and sometimes I don't want any cake at all.
ReplyDeleteWe have a big parade in South Boston next Sunday for St. Patricks Day. It is always a good time as the neighborhood is VERY Irish :)
ReplyDeleteSuch fun facts and many similarities! Love purple, shopping and eating! And of course can't wait for summer!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what zee or zed is.
ReplyDeleteI love cake and pie but would likely choose pie.
Purple is my favorite color too1
This is a fun survey! Sounds like your St. Paddy's Day celebration was a blast! Green beer all around:)
ReplyDeleteSo funny that you made a comment about not wearing shoes because I totally noticed your socks when you posted that picture on IG ;) I love these kind of posts and learning all kinds of random things about you. HEY SEE YOU THIS WEEKEND!!!!
ReplyDeleteZed... but I'm not going to lie, Zee just rhymes with the alphabet and makes sense. (Don't tell my mum I said that)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to live vicariously through you when you go to Europe!
Another similarity that only those of us living on the opposite sides of our original homes...summer babies. I was born in June, so I think of myself as a summer baby. But, now I'm not. Ha!
ReplyDeleteYesterday, I had to go get my required physical for my residency visa. I had to read off the eye chart. Z was one of the letters. I said "zee", then corrected myself to "zed". The nurse laughed.
Fruit diva hahaha Love it! Sooooo it sounds like we have matching teeth. I chipped mine when I was playing goalie indoors and basically dove into a cement wall. I'm always so paranoid that my fake tooth part is going to chip off and so I never eat apples unless I can cut them up first. And I never rollerblade! I got going too fast on a path once and had to dive onto the grass and then rolled down a hill lol
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute!! Omg what a funny/horrific story about your rollerblading incident haha! I cant even with that gif! Um xray or ultrasound? Weird question I guess there isnt much for X, but duh you have to go with ultrasound because thats what I do for a living! Xrays are for turds! ;)

Upbeat Soles
read the whole thing and forgot half my comments haha lets give it a go anyhow. Love you and your bestie. They are lucky girls because you my friend are a good friend. That roller blading accident i so scary though! You slammed into a garage? yikes. Your brothers are cuties even if they don't smile - I don't smile 24/7 either lol I hate people eating with their mouths open and NSW for the win!!! :D
ReplyDeleteLove this post idea...Might have to be a copy cat too some day! I love when bloggers do posts like these because its fun to get to know them more! I definitely agree with you on indulgences of food and shopping!
ReplyDeleteYour Europe trip WILL be amazing!!
ReplyDeletePurple is my favorite color too!!!
Zee for mee! I love that you have two brothers who don't smile. That aside (b/c I have no siblings, smiley or otherwise) we have a lot in common! All the books, cats, and food, plz.
ReplyDelete-- Gianni
I love reading these. I slouch too & it drives me nuts. When I notice it I automatically sit up straight but that feels so unnatural. Food totally makes me happy too.
ReplyDeletePeople smacking their lips when they chew makes me want to smack them. I wish that was acceptable. I can't wait to follow along with your Europe trip because it will be awesome!!
ReplyDeleteLove these posts! That kid rollerblading is like amazing! So jealous about your trip to Europe! I need to do one of these posts too! Totally stealing!
ReplyDeletealways love learning more about you! my boss grew up in england, and they do the zed thing there too. i actually teach the reading method developed in Australia
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great post idea I just might steal it you fruit diva you! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun one! I kind of love astrology, I know its sort of ridiculous.... but I can always relate to mine. Cancer for life! The zodiac kind... not the kill you kind. We had pies at our wedding, because in general I really only like chocolate cake... or maybe carrot cake. But 'wedding' cake is not my jam. My mother was deathly offended by this so we went with pies. It worked being a December wedding and all. :) I recently went to the store and had to buy allthefruit. I dunno, I just bought strawberries, blueberries, apples, grapes, and four different pears... KC just laughed at me. I really need to eat said fruit before it all expires... wah wah
