I wasn't feeling like being on the computer or reading (what?!) when I got my tooth taken out, I just wanted to lay down and be miserable without using my hands. So I, very uncharacteristically, chose TV over books and I am zero % ashamed of my choice... KC made fun of it at first, but then he got into it as well. I'm not gonna lie, the main guy is shirtless a lot. And he does a lot of these things.
Half marathon is just over a month away. Wow. Super excited to see the girls and perhaps embarrass them by running like this.
When people complain about facebook... (or anything).. I'm just like.. So don't do it. I don't understand the people who complain and do nothing, or continue to do the thing that annoys them... Though I'm sure I do it too, that's not the point.
I signed up for emeals for a hot minute after reading Erin's post. I wanted to love it, but I kinda knew I wouldn't before I even looked at the meal plans. We are just too difficult to plan for. I really wish there was a plan for a 'gluten free mainly vegetarian with a husband who loves meat and can eat gluten but he really doesn't need to eat meat for every meal, and both of them are picky in different ways like she doesn't like spicy and he doesn't like creamy but needs to have certain ratios of fat, protein and carbs in each meal' because I would be all over that.
One of the girls at work told me about a new way to go home, and I have been doing it for almost 2 months and it's awesome and magical and avoids the road rage inducing route I used to take. However, it also avoids 3 McDonalds and one Chik Fil A... and dammit, sometimes I want a milkshake on the way home. I might go the long way home sometimes just so I can have a milkshake. Don't judge me.
You know what really, really, really annoys me? When you get lunch with people and you are the person picking it up or paying for it all, and people give you exact change based on the menu. I'm like excuse me, if your meal says it is $9 you better give me more than $9 because this is effing 'Merica and you need to pay tax and tip! So give me more than $9! But don't ask me how much because I don't bloody well know.
I am slightly obsessed with baby clothes. Like, the clothes not the baby, ok? When we were on our Honeymoon, KC let me wander around H&M for like an hour while he sipped on a daiquiri. Anyway, I wandered through their baby clothes because why not, and I saw that they had some sleepers or whatever that said 'mum' instead of 'mom' and I bought them, because I will be a mum do not call me mom. Yes we had just gotten married, no we are not pregnant but gosh darn it they are so cute! I guess I forgot about the fact that if and when I get pregnant, mummy can send me baby clothes that say mum so I didn't need to buy them but whatever Trevor.

Ah, my soul feels clean now. Just kidding. Happy Wednesday!
I had the same experience with emeals. Like, it would have been nice if they had just been psychic and known all the foods that I don't eat! :) We did it for like a month and then gave up.
ReplyDeleteSome days you just need a good, mindless TV binge! No judging here!!! That is why I don't read books very fast, I watch TV every night with Chris to unwind.
ReplyDeleteAnd I totally feel the same way you do about the emeals. In theory it sounds awesome, but there are certain needs and picky things that Chris and I have that forced me to do my own meal planning. I have gotten in a routine now so it is just easier anyways.
Baby clothes are adorable. No denying that!!!
I totally agree with you about people complaining about things (like facebook) - just don't use it if you hate it so much! I didn't watch the super bowl either, I was on the coach watching The Mindy Project - so much better!! :)

All about the clothes, not the baby too! I wish I could find a less rage inducing drive home. There's one that I think would be better and I need to try it just to see but I think it takes me like 3 miles out of my way and I have to pay tolls. Decisions, decisions! Sometimes I need mindless TV over reading and you know my reading is almost mindless.
ReplyDeletei reallly hate when ppl complain on facebook. especially if it's about their kids!! the internet is forever and wouldnt you be sad to see your mom complaining about you all the time?! ah well. you looked GORGEOUS in your instagram photos :) xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteI was soo excited for this post when I saw it was your confessions. LOVE these!! And I have the perfect meme for your facebook commentary (totally agree, BTW) so I will have to email that to you. I also have another goodie to send you that made me think of you. I also cannot wait to hear/see more about your wedding dress day!! You looked ah-may-zing in your IG pics!
ReplyDeleteGina - On the Daily Express
Maybe Chick Fil A was put there because they knew that drive is rage inducing?? Just a thought --- I'm the same way with Sonic, and can drive around it, but why? :) And yes to the Phoebe run!!
ReplyDeleteI think your Sunday sounds perfect! And I get so annoyed with those people posting how much they hate facebook, on facebook!
ReplyDeleteI need that last gif framed on my wall.
ReplyDeleteYou are a riot!!! I am the same way about people complaining and then not changing anything...grrr! Can't even wait to see the pictures from sunday - you looked gorgeous!! xo, Biana - BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteHahaha the gif of Phoebe running, best ever! Ohhh CFA milkshakes, those things are SO good! I haven't tried the emeals thing pretty much for the exact reason you said, we're just too complicated! Adam is pretty picky so I just KNOW he wouldn't like the stuff they came up with and I have my own issues right now with the way I am eating only certain amounts of certain things! How did I miss the pics of you on Insta on Sunday, I guess I need to go Insta-stalk you now. ;)
ReplyDeleteYour pics you were sharing were gorgeous girl, can't wait to see more :)
ReplyDeleteYour pictures were beautiful. Looking forward to seeing more.
ReplyDeleteI cant wait to see more pics from the weekend - you looked amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteARROW!!!! Goodness - those muscles on Oliver. I LOVE that show!!! & now the guy that played Superman... I am giddy crushing over him anyways...
Which half marathon are you doing first?
Ahhhh Chick-fil-A is one of my favorite things, like the only fast food that I crave. Especially the chicken biscuit for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteI was LOVING your Instagram pictures on Sunday - can't wait to hear what you were up to!! And a milkshake is totally worth taking the long way home for.. I'm anxiously awaiting the shamrock shakes that are coming soon!
ReplyDeletePlaying model sounds fun! I used to belong to the Y and I had to pass a cupcake place that was featured on Food Network, plus a wine bar. And a Chick Fil A. Fortunately, the Chick Fil A was not accessible on my way home, because it was right turn only!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely go the long way for a milkshake! Your instagram photos were so gorgeous. I can't wait to see everything! Also, I already have baby onesies too-my hubby and I worked at our college bookstore for a while, and I wanted to buy them when we still had our 25 percent off discount! Haha. :)
ReplyDeleteI would totally drive out of my way for some Chick-Fil-A! I've heard its ah-mazing but they don't have any anywhere close to me :(
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see more pictures from your day of modeling - You looked like an honest to goodness model!
I hate people who don't tip.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am OVER hearing about how people are so over Facebook. So good, be done with it then. And shut up about it. No one currr.
Can't wait to see more pics from the weekend!
Joey doesn't like creamy things either, but he'll eat them now and then for my sake haha. But I wish that I didn't like creamy things because maybe then I wouldn't crave mac and cheese so often (and milkshakes, yum!!). :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha, baby clothes are so cute. I just love 'em. I think it's totally fine that you bought a couple things. Why not!
Aww, the pictures you put on IG are gorgeous btw. You look great!!
Girl, that meal plan subscription is for the birds! I also have a friend who does freezer meal days, nope I can't partake in that either. I am allergic to TONS of food, Gabriel is a weight lifter so his meals are all protein with a hint of veg/carbs (and only certain complex carbs at that).... so no I don't want, nor need to pay an insane amount of money for someone to give me a weekly shopping list I can't use.
ReplyDeleteOMG your meal plan rant--YES! We're so painfully tough to meal plan for too! And I nearly died over your new way home thing! Sometimes a milkshake is totally necessary!
ReplyDeleteArrow!!! Love that show. I am such a picky eater too those meal things don't work for me. The selfies were totally necessary, you looked great!
ReplyDeleteFun to read your confessions!!!
ReplyDeleteI think the food boxes (or whatever they are called) would be ideal for a couple but they would never work for us - 2 teenage boys eat a LOT!!!!
Hey I spent time with my couch binge watching Will and Grace instead of watching the Super Bowl and I'm not at all ashamed.
ReplyDeleteI'm not on insta so you need to post some of those pictures here. k, thanks?!
ReplyDeleteBtw, I totally am with you on feeling down and choosing TV when I'm sick. I don't want to do anything but be entertained, and books and the comp take work. too much work sometimes!
baby clothes are the cutest.
oh that's stephen amell on the show Arrow. isn't he just so yum? canadian too - they grow 'em cute up north, amirite?? i LOVE it when he does those salmon pull-ups. first season he was shirtless a LOT and now he wears more clothes in season 3. boo.
ReplyDeleteSometimes a girl needs a milkshake. Ain't no shame!
ReplyDeleteAnd my soul feels clean now' haha. :) Love it. Can't wait to see pictures of your photo shoot. Loved seeing you all decked out on insta. How cute are those onesies?!
ReplyDeleteAfter the wedding the first thing I'm going to get is a milkshake.....from chick fil a......or maybe steak and shake......maybe both.....at one time. Damn. Now all I can think about is milkshakes......
ReplyDeleteYes! Don't complain if you aren't going to DO SOMETHING about it! That is pretty much my biggest pet peeve in life!! Ha! Sorry Emeals didn't work for you, I know some people love it, some hate it! Jared and I are pretty boring and have no restrictions so it really has been awesome for us!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome! I hear you about people being stingy when paying their share of a ticket. Here's to more milkshakes! Hope you're having a great day!
ReplyDeleteYes, I have people on my Facebook who constantly complain. Or they're like, "I'm sad.." and won't say why. I'm nosy. You have to tell me why!
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with a few mindless TV hours. It's good for the soul. At least that's what I tell myself.
ReplyDeleteI love when people tell me new routes to get places! It's basically one of my favorite things. And now I want a milkshake from Chick Fil A but fortunately it's on the other side of town and I'm way too lazy to drive over there.
Hahah agree. I watch TV probably more than the average person, but oh well. Sometimes you just need that mindless time.
ReplyDeleteAw those sleepers are amazing and I'm so glad you got them or you'd still be kicking yourself, you mum-one-day, you ;) And yes, sometimes you just gotta go the long way and get the damn milkshake hah.
ReplyDeleteThe tax and tipping thing in America used to get me every time! How cute are those baby clothes?! I love that they say Mum instead of Mom - I would've bought them too, and then later realised my mum could always send Mum printed ones from Australia too haha! And I can't wait to hear about this model situation you had going on on Sunday - sounds amazing and like so much fun! X Carly
ReplyDeleteYeaaaaah 5 weeks til RnR! Woo! And I hate that money thing too, people can be so stingy with that. I always add at least another dollar when I'm the payer (more if it obviously cost more after tax). Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteI can't stand when people complain and do nothing about it either, it's like ok...go torture yourself then!
ReplyDeleteI cannot WAIT to see those photos! The IG photos your shared were STUNNING!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteWow, which one of your friends doesn't pay for tax and tip?? Bad, American, Bad! You have every right to tell them they're being a twat.
Taking the long way to get a tasty milkshake or a chicken sandwich sounds awesome! I'm jealous that you even have a Chick -fil -a to drive by, because Canada doesn't have any and I miss it terribly :'(
ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious. I watch more TV than I should for sure. I totally get that. Most days after reading and staring at a screen all day my eyes are fuzzy and tired... and my brain is fried. So TV happens. The CW shows can be so addicting. Glad I haven't hopped on the Arrow train yet.... lord knows I don't need more TV to (feel like I need to) watch... :) Oh babies. I am so not ready to be a mom.. but occasionally there might be a piece of clearance Target baby/kid something that is just perfect... and I might maybe buy it. But only on less than 5 occasions.. I think... Last week I was a hot mess. Between Macklemore & JT's baby announcements/posts and my time of the month I practically had baby fever. It was weird... and so unusual for me. So I'm kindly asking the rest of the male celebrities that I find dreamy to refrain from reproducing in the next few years.... ugh. Hope you are feeling better soon, loved those pics! XO -Alexandra
ReplyDeleteSimply Alexandra: My Favorite Things
sounds like an amaazing Sunday! And I know- why don't people just stay off Facebook? I quit FB when it was bothering me and it was that easy..no more complaining!
ReplyDeleteThe .gifs you chose for this post are perfect. I especially agree with the complaining one. I get so annoyed by people who needlessly complain. Click off, turn away, go do something else. Jeez! And of course I love the Sheldon .gif because Big Bang Theory. 'Nuff said :)
ReplyDeletehttp://themiscellaneousmom.blogspot.com
Yea, I pretty much know emeals will not work for us. It sounds great in theory, but I'd rather just sit down and plan the meals myself. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat show is that up there? I want to watch it :) Also, I feel you on the milkshake thing. Eating semi-healthy is hard :(
ReplyDeleteCan my future children call me "mum"? Even though I'm not Australian or British and so there's no real reason for them to call me mum aside from the fact that I like the way it sounds?
Sounds like I would have the same experience with emeals. we both eat mainly low carb but he hates veggies and i can't eat soy and we're both kinda picky.
ReplyDeleteBTW, you looked fantastic in the IG pictures over the weekend!

Some days I prefer the TV over reading a book or being online, it doesn't happen often but when it does I binge watch like it is my job. I know a lot of people who complain about certain people on Facebook and it's like, why don't you delete them then? It isn't hard to do... Ha ha!
ReplyDeletesometimes i just feel better after some mindless tv. ooh fb is the worst! i gave it up for 4 years and sometimes i feel like doing it again. it's just a rant session.
ReplyDeleteAfter I took my tooth out I avoided reading in favour of TV too so no worries hun! Also man choosing a new route home with no Mc Donalds sounds like a win to me... of course my inner fat girl loves to rear her ugly head and shes easily tempted hehe.
ReplyDeleteYou don't know how happy I am about not paying tax on anything. Avoiding scenarios like that is something I appreciate. I died over "Shout out to my couch" Hahahaha Nothin' like chillaxin.
ReplyDeleteSo funny about the milkshake! Sometimes I'm thankful that we don't have many options for fast food let alone good food... because when I lived at home, I couldn't pass up the Dairy Queen for a blizzard! Can't wait to hear more about that photoshoot! Those pictures were beautiful that you shared so far on IG!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya on the milkshakes! Right after Cory and I got married, there was a Hallmark store closing and they had the softest, prettiest baby blanket for next to nothing so I bought it. You should have seen the look on Cory's face when I got home!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why, but when you said "whatever trevor" I laughed so hard. It's the small things lol!
ReplyDeleteBahahah... I have also taken the long way to get somewhere so that I could stop at some food place!
