That's a lot of Ls.
I'm loving the look of lace up wedge booties lately.
I already have 2 pairs of booties, but they are both tall so they cut my leg off and don't look cute with dresses and skirts, so I was
pinteresting booties that were lower or had a dip and came across these styles, and fell in love. These
Dolce Vita ones are super cute, and surprisingly cheap. And of course, Target has us covered with
these beauties, but I love the colour of
these ones from JC Penney. I will probably end up getting
these ones from Amazon because they are the cheapest, and have great reviews (so many colours, too!).
I know I mentioned a plaid scarf
last time, but I'm still loving them.
I really like the look of the old Zara scarf, which is of course long gone unless you want to pay $80 on eBay. The newer one was cute, just a little more red than I wanted and then it sold out anyway.
Franish has been rocking
this Target scarf which is pretty cheap and looks fabulous on her.
This Forever 21 one is cute and super cheap, and I really like the colours of
this infinity scarf. I spotted
this Look By M one and did a double take because it looks so much like the Zara one, but it's an infinity scarf - still cute, just not what I'm after. There are a bunch of listings on eBay that are like a
copy cat of the old Zara scarf, which is probably what I will end up buying because they have sold so many and have pretty good feedback (and so cheap).
I am really digging trench coats lately, but I really don't know if I would actually wear one. I get cold as soon as it gets under 80, so it wouldn't really help in keeping me as warm as a normal coat.
If I could just have Jessica Hart's everything, mmk thanks. For a coat,
this Calvin Klein one is pretty reasonably priced, and
this one from Gap looks good, I would just wait for a sale! I will never afford
this Burberry one, but it is The Trench, am I right? Of course, I could always get an actual coat like
this one from F21 or
this one from Victoria Secret because they are the same colour, but thicker thus warmer.
Lastly, I am really liking the baseball tee. Jessica at
LBG has posted about them a bunch, but I never really thought they were really 'me', and lets face it she'd look good in a garbage bag.
Then I kept seeing that first picture all over pinterest and I kept coming back to it. I would wear this outfit, wearing skinny jeans instead of boyfriend (personally).
This one from Gap is surprisingly cheap. I think I'll end up getting
this one from American Eagle or
this AEO one with the split neck. I like the plain ones, but
this striped one from F21 is super cute. I think they are a good basic top, that you could really wear in all seasons, or at least 3 (not sure these are very Springy, but they'd look cute with shorts in Summer).
Anyway, this is what happens when I try and do 2 months without shopping, I spend too much time on Pinterest and have a list a mile long of what I want to buy. Truthfully, this shopping ban has really helped me realise what I want in my wardrobe and it is helping me make smarter decisions. If I am still thinking about things a month or two later, and I can see myself actually wearing them more than one way, I know they'll be better purchases than just randomly picking something up or impulse clicking. For example, I'm still thinking about the plaid scarf and still wanting
this cardigan.
I have been reading a lot about capsule wardrobes and people trying to make more deliberate decisions when buying clothes, is that something you do, or are you more of an impulse shopper?
Oh by the by,
I am guest posting over at Breanna's place today while she is busy enjoying her new baby! My post is about my favourite books, the ones I will always recommend time and time again... check it out here!
I do the same thing when I put myself on a shopping ban. I shop online and then I go crazy once the ban is up! Binge shopping. It's bad. lol. Love all these looks though!!
ReplyDeletei found that scarf on amazon and i love it! it's wayyy too hot in charleston to wear it tho! hopefully i can soon! xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteOh I do love a baseball top! I'm always amazed that I don't have more of them, as the last one I bought about 15 years ago and frankly it's looking a bit shall we say.. worn out?
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to scarf I suffer from being a knitter - I get far too picky and just think I could do it myself so I never buy any! Same with hats and mittens and stuff
Makes me want to shop. Bath and Body Works is having a great candle sale and it keeps making me want to buy all of the candles, except, I'm trying not to buy anything right now... life. lol
ReplyDeleteLove your style; I'll take one of everything!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhh, I can definitely get into nude booties. Super adorable! DSW just sent me a birthday gift certificate... Maybe I'll go on a booite hunt tomorrow ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the baseball tee, booties, and scarves for this fall/winter! I am on the hunt for the perfect ones too :)
ReplyDeleteumm I must say I am loving ALL of these as well- especially the chunky plaid scarves!!
ReplyDeletewait..and those booties!! I always need a little extra height! haha
ReplyDeletei love booties but feel they look weird on me! but still want more pairs! Love, ElleSees
ReplyDeleteLove those booties, I busted out my Tom's wedges this weekend and I love them. I'm also loving the baseball tee outfits :)
ReplyDeleteI am seeing a LOT of plaid scarves this year!!!
ReplyDeleteI just got rid of my Tom's booties. I only wore them like twice because they seemed so great in theory and when I put them on...not so much. I probably just don't know how to wear them correctly haha!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to end up with a Zara knockoff scarf too.
I had the Target scarf in my cart on Friday, and it already sold out! I was so mad. But I am so glad you linked to the other knockoff on ebay, I just ordered it and it's even cheaper. I've been trying to use what I bought last year and see what didn't survive even a year of rewear and base my shopping on that.
ReplyDeleteI love plaid scarves too, but for some reason I can never find the right one...the hunt is on this fall!
ReplyDeleteI need a red plaid scarf in my life!
ReplyDeleteLove these looks! I'm ready for some scarves and booties but it;'s still to warm here ;-)
ReplyDeleteI am a total impulse buyer, but I'm trying to be more thoughtful in my shopping! I LOVE those lace up booties, they are so cute with rolled-up skinnies! And of course the plaid scarf is a must! I too have been spending way too much time on shopping sites and pinterest!
ReplyDeleteGive me all of these looks!!!! I am working to update my fall/winter wardrobe and booties are certainly on my list! I love the plaid scar and jacket as well!
ReplyDeleteI am an impulse buyer. That's why I do the periodic wallet watches - I need to slow my roll.
ReplyDeleteI love the baseball tees and plaid scarves.
NEED THOSE CARAMEL BOOTIES IN MY LIFE. NEEED I TELL YOU
ReplyDeletegive me all the pretty things!
ReplyDeleteI think a capsule wardrobe can definitely work for some people! I like my patterned leggings too much though :) I do have a rule though that I won't buy or keep something in my closet unless I can quickly think of three ways/places to wear it, so that helps cut down on some of the excess OMG IT'S JUST SO PRETTY I WANT IT shopping, hah
ReplyDeleteWish I could sport trench coats and scarves. Florida sucks sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI really want to go shopping now! I am desperately in need of a tartan scarf!
ReplyDeleteI love the pom pom hat in the first picture. I am all over the plaid scarves lately. The shopping ban is totally making me want everything!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you get that scarf off of Ebay let me know! I've been wanting to get it too but Ebay freaks me out LOL! And I pinned that last look too... totally loving it! Those booties, the scarf and shirt... all perfection. But I'd definitely rock the skinny jeans instead!

Also so in love with the booties and the Zara scarf! I pinned that exact same pic of the Booties, the second one, they're like the perfect pair!
ReplyDeleteLove allll of these looks! I finally went ahead and ordered the knockoff Zara scarf from Amazon... can't wait for it to get here! I've also been on the hunt for the *perfect* trench coat for two years now!! It's killing me!
ReplyDeleteI've gotten more and more into scarves as my daughter has given me some and I've gotten others as gifts. I'm so happy we're in the season to start wearing them again!
ReplyDeleteThat's so true that if you take the time to buy things, you'll weed out the impulsive/trendy stuff. I love the wedge booties but bet I wouldn't wear them long-term. The scarf on the other hand... but not for $80!
ReplyDeleteLove those wedge booties:)
ReplyDeleteLOVE all your looks!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to bust out my Tom's desert booties from last year they are seriously the most comfortable shoes I've ever bought! There was a tiny hint of Fall in the air this morning so fingers crossed FL may be getting some cooler temps!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so fun! I love all of your choices, and honestly blogging about wishlists and fashion inspiration is really cathartic for me when I'm on a shopping ban. I feel like I *virtually* get to wear and enjoy some of the pieces, which helps tide me over until I can actually buy them and enjoy them. I mean, I wish it helped eliminate the want altogether, but I don't see that happening.
ReplyDeleteI am all about trench coats! Which is why I am sick of the (still) hot weather in CA. I wanna wear my trench coat badly!
ReplyDeleteI just got a trench on sale from Nordstrom. It is good for the in between weather but won't be warm enough for much longer. Love the scarves you picked out!
ReplyDeleteThose amazon booties ARE a really good price! DSW has a similar pair that was priced pretty low (though not that low!) that I've had my eye on for a few weeks now. I am in desperate need of some new in-between coats- so I'm loving those trench coats too!
ReplyDeleteThose boots are killer. Love them. And seriously, you can never go wrong with a plaid scarf. Classic. Plaid anything is a-okay in my book!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a good Monday!

wedge booties are EVERYWHERE! and i'm obsessed. loving the classic looks here. and target is my go to half of the time for shoes!!
ReplyDeleteThe scarves are awesome! I always say I want to wear them but then I don't wear what is in my closet - although it is still warm where I live.
ReplyDeleteThe looks you have posted are sooo dang cute! I love how they are casual but can double to go just about anywhere.
I love the looks in the last set of pictures! That is soooo my style! Now, if only my hips, thighs, and legs looked as good as hers. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been slowly transiting my wardrobe from college to professional. Luckily I can wear business casual at work so the dresses/tops I get, I can easily wear after hours as well. I really want alll the clothes but I try not to break my bank account with every purchase. Those booties on Amazon look adorable…I may need!
ReplyDeleteEulafern.com has great blanket scarves that are identical to the Zara ones! I bought one and I love it!

ReplyDeleteThat first look is so pretty and comfy too!! Love the scarf!

I never thought I would be into plaid but now I absolutely NEED a plaid scarf. Good thing I'm heading to the city tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteWow in my mind this is all so quintessentially British - I love it! I saw the most wonderful plaid scarf recently in a market in Edinburgh and it was quite affordable but I didn't have money on me and I'm so annoyed at myself for not buying it! It was so pretty and soft!
ReplyDeleteGlad the spending freeze is positive!! I would love to have the perfect closet, where I love every piece...that is my goal :)
ReplyDeleteWearing my lace up wedge booties right now! I need a camel-colored pair.
ReplyDeleteI love the looks! It seems like we have the same style! Yay!
ReplyDeletePlus, I just nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award - I hope you don't mind, but I just love your blog.

THANK YOU for posting these looks. I ordered the most adorable little ankle boots a few weeks ago and I'm having the hardest time styling them! I'm headed to Nashville, TN this weekend, so this will be super helpful so I can look super cute! ♥ ♥
ReplyDeleteUmmm... somehow I missed this post? Wtf. I need to get back on the ball. But anyhoo... I LOVE Dolce Vita; they make the cutest shoes. And infinity scarves are the perfect addition to anyone's fall wardrobe. I usually pull mine up onto my head partially so I can pretend to be Bridget Jones (BEFORE her scarf blew away when she was driving w/ Daniel for their mini-break).
