I won't tell you what I bought in September yet, but my goals for October wallet watch with Steph are as follows:
1. No shopping for clothes, shoes, makeup, accessories etc. excluding halloween costume.
2. No books. I mean it, Kristen. No. Books.
3. No house stuff either. No.
4. No eating out on my own (only with KC or the girls).
Wish me luck!

Girl you just wrote the book of my life. I pay most of my bills with the tips I make. All my bills are paid and instead of saving for next month, I've spent the last two weeks worth and blown through it. I'm embarrassed for myself. Lol.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it!! The books will be the hard one! Be strong!!
ReplyDeleteWow!! That's some intense goals!! You can totally do it!!! At lest you know you get to purchase something!!! Your Halloween outfit!!
ReplyDeleteNo books!?!? That's rough, but you can do it! Good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteWe all know that's not so easy task. LoL Good luck, honey.

Good luck on your wallet watch!! I need to not buy books too, and accessories especially make up, lol. Pretty much take away amazon, ulta and sephora!
ReplyDeleteI need to do this... put a limit on spending... Christmas is coming. Need to start saving.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, I need to do this too! I think I'm going to put myself on another "no buy" too :)
ReplyDeletegood luck. i really need to do this too. except i may allow myself a foundation because honestly my foundation is TOO light for me and it's so damn hard to find a shade!
ReplyDeleteI used to go full-on I CAN'T BUY ANYTHING AT ALL NO WAY NOT EVEN ONE THING FOR A WHOLE MONTH and it sucked so hard. I'm anal about my money now though and always make a budget for every month along with an approved list of things I can buy. So for example in October, I can only buy the products I know I'm running out of (shampoo, conditioner, etc.) and am letting myself buy 2 pairs of fall shoes that I need, etc. It's all pre-figured so I still feel in control of everything. I feel like allowing myself only certain things has made me want to blow all my money on EVERYTHING a lot less. Plus I hate seeing red on my budget because, hello, Type A. Good luck, I hope you can stick to your goals!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck girly! I need this type of structure in my life.... seriously! I'm terrible with spending on little things constantly and it adds up SO fast.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, I want to buy all of the things so no wallet watch for me! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm doing something similar but building in a loophole that I can use money I make from selling my stuff on Ebay/Poshmark. I figure that way it'll provide me an extra incentive to actually get off my butt and list things, too!
ReplyDeleteHa! Totally with you on needing to read the books I already own before buying any more!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're doing it, too! I did it in April and it's SO MUCH EASIER when you know others are... let's be honest: SUFFERING along with you! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm participating in the Wallet Watch, too, just to do it. It helps get me refocused on my money. I did it in April and it really helped.
ReplyDeleteOk joining this annnd copying your goals haha!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
ReplyDeleteI like the no eating out on your own goal! I should do that this month too, that way I don't have to feel extra stressed when I want/need to be social! Good luck- I'm sure you can succeed :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with this girlie.... Ive bought three books so far sigh ... vacation reading (even though I barely have spare time) will do that to ya!
