October Wallet Watch

I have a serious shopping problem, and I have been trying to get a handle on it for a few years. I started tracking my budget with Franish each month and it opened my eyes and made me sick (and ashamed!).

Life According to Steph

I won't tell you what I bought in September yet, but my goals for October wallet watch with Steph are as follows:

1. No shopping for clothes, shoes, makeup, accessories etc. excluding halloween costume.
2. No books. I mean it, Kristen. No. Books.
3. No house stuff either. No.
4. No eating out on my own (only with KC or the girls).

Wish me luck!

  1. Girl you just wrote the book of my life. I pay most of my bills with the tips I make. All my bills are paid and instead of saving for next month, I've spent the last two weeks worth and blown through it. I'm embarrassed for myself. Lol.

  10. I used to go full-on I CAN'T BUY ANYTHING AT ALL NO WAY NOT EVEN ONE THING FOR A WHOLE MONTH and it sucked so hard. I'm anal about my money now though and always make a budget for every month along with an approved list of things I can buy. So for example in October, I can only buy the products I know I'm running out of (shampoo, conditioner, etc.) and am letting myself buy 2 pairs of fall shoes that I need, etc. It's all pre-figured so I still feel in control of everything. I feel like allowing myself only certain things has made me want to blow all my money on EVERYTHING a lot less. Plus I hate seeing red on my budget because, hello, Type A. Good luck, I hope you can stick to your goals!!

  13. I'm doing something similar but building in a loophole that I can use money I make from selling my stuff on Ebay/Poshmark. I figure that way it'll provide me an extra incentive to actually get off my butt and list things, too!
