I use picmonkey to edit my pictures. It's easy and free, free and easy. I know it's like at the bottom of the cool picture editing tools party, but like I said.. free and easy.
I have used this for my travel page, and for recaps, and my fancy new button... and thats about it. I think it makes it easier to pin and helps you remember the post (speaking more as a pinner, rather than a please pin my stuff).
So, here's the super easy how to.
I use picmonkey so that's the only way I know how to do this.
Choose edit and select your photo. You can adjust it (I normally 'auto adjust') if you want, but I didn't. Select the butterfly icon for overlays, and then choose which one you want - I use geometric.
Circles, squares etc.
Select the one you want and it pops up on screen. Resize to your fancy.
Then select the colour - it doesnt have to be white, it can be anything you want, I just gravitate towards white because it's nice and simple.
Then you can play with the 'fade' - 100% makes it disappear completely and 0% makes it whiter than my skin in the winter time. Jk.
You can also play around with other effects like add (brightens it up).
Ok, now you're ready for some text! Easy as pie, right?
Voila! Aren't I a genius? Don't answer that.

Ah you gotta love picmonkey, I only discovered a couple of months ago but it is so good for editing photo's for the old blog.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great post! I used to use Picmonkey before I got Photoshop and it's SO user friendly. That's wonderful they got even more features- it really is super similar to the fancier, expensive programs.
