But enough of that, here's what I got:
2. Snowflake Sweater (similarish). Perfect Christmas sweater, and great for NYC! $16.94
3. Scarf (similar). Look, I needed it for my outfits that I have planned for NYC. $12.99
4. JustFab Legacy bag. I love this with my whole heart, seen here. $21.15
5. Kate Spade Planner. I couldn't help it, ok? $27.03
6. Converse White Sleeveless Blouse. Gina made me do it. $20.13
I also bought this Old Navy Striped Hoodie after I saw it on a few bloggers but I didn't love it like I thought I would, so back it went.
Here's what I picked up on our girls labor day trip:
Striped tunic ($26) + portsmouth tank ($15)
Total damage: $160.39.
So I spent more than I wanted overall, and I really should have been more careful at the start of the month to account for the girls trip, but what you gonna do. I'm really proud I didn't buy more on that trip - I bought some souveniers like a mug, christmas ornament and a koozie... and a lot of food and alcohol. Plus August was KC's birthday, and my best friend's birthday. So after all that, September is hopefully going to be a no shopping month for me.
That dress and bag are super cute! I can't believe the price tags! Are you happy with the quality?

I love that dress, it is so cute! I also really like the scarf, it looks so cosy!
ReplyDeleteThe detail on that dress is so pretty. Scarves are essential, I am obsessed with them. Such pretty things.
ReplyDeleteI love the bag!
ReplyDeletei'm going to start making scarves again this season; starting with a mini infinity scarf for a 5yr old for her birthday :)
ReplyDeletealso, i spent a lot on organizing jazz and appliances that were on sale. did i NEED another crockpot that was on sale for $24? yes, because it was 4qt and my 2qt wasn't big enough.

Love everything you got! And since you got some wintery things I think it's totally okay... plus whenever you travel I feel like it's too hard not to buy a few things!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I'm #sorrynotsorry I made you get that blouse it but it's such a nice basic, versatile, staple piece. And only $20! And you can layer it in the fall with blazers and sweaters and what not. That's a freaking investment right there!! Now I just watch and wait to see how you wear it. :)
ReplyDeleteThat dress is the cutest thing I have ever seen! I can't wait to wear normal people clothes again
ReplyDeletewoa, if i did a list of what i bought in august i think i would run away and never return! i'd say you did pretty well :) in my eyes.... lol

ReplyDeleteUghhhh blogger stop eating my comments!!!! Anyways......I think you did really good girl!! I think I need to start documenting with pictures all the clothing purchases I make in a month.....it would probably be very eye opening!
ReplyDeleteI'm still lusting over that Kate Spade planner! I think it's only a matter of time before I cave haha. Good luck with no spending September! This month is always my worst.. something about fall/back to school time makes me want to SHOP!
ReplyDeleteDamn you! The month that I'm giving up my credit card you show me that gorgeous dress! Just kidding...still love you. But for real...I want it.
ReplyDeleteI love that bag! I definitely would have thought it cost A LOT more!! And I love that you are already prepping for your NYC trip. I LOVE the snowflake sweater. It will definitely be perfect for the holidays!
ReplyDeleteI need that snowflake sweater and scarf in my life ASAP. And even though you went over budget I am majorly impressed by how little you actually spent on each item!
ReplyDeleteDont be too hard on yourself. You got great deals!
ReplyDeleteWow, awesome deals! LOVE that dress, it's darling! And that scarf looks super cozy!
ReplyDeleteBut really, those look like all needs to me!!! I am trying to update some of the things in my closet and get some new pieces without killing the wallet. The struggle is real!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you did that bad at all!! I love the KS planner- it's pretty much the best!
ReplyDeleteThere you go - you just caught me money - I'm off to get that planner right now.
ReplyDeleteCost.. not Caught... I wish you caught me money :)
ReplyDeleteI've already spent way too much on fall clothes, but I am trying to update and overhaul my wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteI love all of these! And 160 isn't that much when you think about all that you got! :)
ReplyDeleteThat agenda and the scarf!! It makes me ready for fall even more!

Loving that bag. I was going to go check out the Kate Spade planner at a local boutique that carries it, you love it? Hey, $160 for all that stuff is a steal ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm not mad at all. I think that planner is really good and fairly affordable. As is the purse, and the dress, and dang it, now I want to buy something. I'm sad today, I should be allowed.. lol
ReplyDeleteI think you got a lot for $160 - impressive shopping!!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress!!!
Well, you got stuff you can use for the next 5+ months so I think you got a steal to say the least ;)
ReplyDeleteLuh-oooooove that Just Fab dress. It's so pretty and something you could wear for most of the year (I'm picturing adding tights and a long cardigan with a belt for fall, because you needed to know that I guess). And um. that bag. Seriously? I'm in love.
ReplyDeleteLove all of your fun finds!
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is super cute! I always try to budget especially when I have a trip/vacation coming up because I know I'll want to buy things there, but it's so hard sometimes! Looks like you got some great stuff!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it crazy how much it adds up?! If I sat there and looked at the shit that I bought last month, I think I would cringe. Lol. I love that snowflake sweater! How cute :)
ReplyDeleteI am on the look out for a new planner.... Point me in the right direction for one....
ReplyDeleteKris, that dress is everything!!! I suck at budgeting these days sigh
ReplyDeleteI am so bad for spending over my budget, but justifying it by noting that the items I bought were all on sale. To quote my Dad, "is it a bargain if you never really needed it?'. Ergh, I hate Father Logic.
ReplyDeleteAt least it's all cute right? lol Just kidding if that were true we'd buy ALL the things (well most of the things anyway...)
ReplyDeleteLove all these things. ALL OF THEM
ReplyDeleteI keep coming back and fawning over that planner. It is gorgeous and affordable... oh life. I might have to copy you on this one.
