KC has one week left of summer aka video game season and then it's back to school. I am glad he gets so much downtime but I am so happy he is going back to work. I hate being off routine, him getting up in the morning helps me get up and go for a run, we go to bed at the same time etc.
Anyway, we're not here to talk about that, we're here to talk about the weekend with Biana!

Saturday morning I went for a run, and then KC and I went to Pet Smart where we got Millie from and helped out with the kitties and whatnot. I have never really volunteered anywhere so it made us feel really good - they are all volunteers and work their butts off, and we were happy to help. I almost took home another kitten.
Saturday night was a friend's luau themed birthday party and we didn't really feel like having a crazy night, still recovering from a couple weekends ago! We got dolled up and went, and you know how you say it won't be a crazy night and it turns out to be the craziest? Well no one fell over and hurt their back, but it was pretty fabulous. The house party was so fun - beer pong, flip cup & gossiping like teenage girls. Then the cops showed up.. wait, what? How old are we? After that we left and went to the local 'dive bar' that has $1 beer month - yeah, the whole month.
Then at 2am we left the bar and went to Denny's. Best. Idea. Ever.

So clearly I have a side and I take that shit seriously. Sunday was pretty chillaxing, even for the kitties who decided they would tolerate each other for a little while.
My heart, you guys. My heart. Clearly there is no room for a 4th.
Do you have those nights you think are going to be low key and turn out to be the best?
impromptu fun nights are the best! most of my nights out are pretty low key but there are times we just throw caution to the wind and just go with it #yolo. of course, i pay for it after by feeling like death the next day but it was worth it :)

ReplyDeleteKitties!!!! That is one full kitty tower. I really want to volunteer at the humane society but I just can't see myself being ok with leaving and not bringing any of them with me. I think it would be super hard!!! I want all the dogs!

ReplyDeleteThe same thing happened to me this week. Thought it would be a nice quiet afternoon at the beer, bourbon and BBQ festival. Not sure why I thought that. There I discovered that I don't really care about bourbon but I love some moonshine. OMG butterscotch moonshine. Sunday I spent recovering.
