Stripes for days.. first eShakti experience.

I had heard about eShakti before, mainly through my friend Sam who has shopped there many times. They have a lot of cute things, and I like the whole custom tailor to you thing they have going on, but their price tags deterred me from shopping there because I am cheap. I definitely think some things are worth splurging for, but I wasn't ready to take the leap because what if it wasn't?

After I saw Amanda's post here, I finally took said leap, but it was more of a hop skip and jump because I went straight for the overstock section. I guess it's where they have items sent back or whatever, the selection is limited, you can find an awesome deal or find nothing. Thems the breaks, you know?

Another awesome thing about eShakti is that they always have some sort of coupon code or discount for new customers - like $20-30 off. The skirt I found was $35 I think, so $30 off and then with shipping it was like $15. Don't mind if I do!

A little birdy told me that you can use multiple email addresses if you wanted to reap that benefit more than once..

The skirt I got is called banded stripe poplin skirt and I can't find it online anymore, womp womp - similar options one, two, three.

HOLD THE PHONE. The skirt is back y'all - don't forget your $25 coupon when you sign up!

'scuse the face loves, I was twirling and I can't be cute and twirl, alright?
Express Tunic + Target Pumps

I even tried pattern mixing. Not sure how I feel about it!

Dorothy Perkins Top (similar) + Payless Wedges (similar)

Oh yeah, this skirt has POCKETS. Another freaking awesome thing about eShakti is you can add pockets or remove them if you are a weirdo who doesn't like pockets. Pockets on errything!

Lace tee (similar) + Target Pumps

I love this skirt! As you can see, I can wear it for fun and work. It is such good quality, very well made, I got such a great deal, perhaps I am biased but I think it's pretty fabulous.

It does wrinkle kind of easily but I didn't iron it, just gave it a quick spin in the dryer. I would not take this skirt travelling.

This was a fun, cheap, easy way for me to test out eShakti, and now I know their products are the shit, I will be more likely to shop there again (coupon in hand, of course).

Ps. Not a sponsored post! I just love stripes. and skirts. and sales.

  5. So, so fabulous Kris!! I am IN LOVE with your striped skirt and you look freaking adorable! Glad you finally decided to give it a try, and got a great deal to boot! Love the ways you chose to style it here, such versatility. I agree on that type of fabric wrinkling super easy - I HATE ironing...but I'll do it if it's worth it for something like this.

  17. "I'm not a fashion blogger. Nooo siree. Not I," said Kristen. And then she turned to the dark side and looked SO GOOD in all of her outfits!! And I kind of loved it and pinned the first one with her Express Voile Tunic because that's my fave and I'm not biased or anything. That is a fabulous skirt and sounds like you know ALL the tricks for getting a good deal! Love it!

  25. I'm a big fan of pattern mixing, I like to usually go with some sort of geometric pattern and a floral. The stripes and polka dots look great on you! You look super cute in all these. Also, pockets forever. Long live the dress/skirt pockets.

I like the last outfit the best. I'm not even hip and cool and keep up with trends, so my opinion totally doesn't really matter, but it's the one I'd wear. :)

  47. Kristen you look so cute in the skirt! I love it styled with the two white tops. Perhaps with the pattern mixing you can try smaller polka dots but I am not an expert at all - just a thought! :) Great score on the skirt!
