I first saw these White Plum shorts on Zelle in mint here and she also wore them here. I ordered them in blue, which is very cobalty. The next day, like a sign from the shopping gods, they appeared over at the Camp, and seeing as Grace can do no wrong in my eyes, I felt confident in my decision.
These shorts are adorable. The best part is the elastic at the back so they are nice and stretchy and forgiving. I love the material, so soft and I love love the scalloped ends. Super cute. In my opinion... Don't let my awkward non fashion bloggerness deter you.
I wasn't sure what to pair with them, so I tried a couple different tops.
Target tee + eBay necklace
Target lace tank
Target striped top (similar)
My favourite look was probably the one I straight up copied from Grace, because you know that's how I roll.

White Plum shorts, express tunic, super old shoes, went out last night hair and sunnies are from a market in NOLA many moons ago.I have no idea what I was doing with my face, I apologise.. that's all there is. My photographer gives me a limit of 2 photos per outfit, and the other one was hideous. Don't worry, you shall see these shorts again, I'm sure.
Looking back, I realised I paired the shorts with all white tops. What other colours would go with these shorts?

You look uhhhhhmazing and all of the outfits, totally rockin it! My little trick if I want to incorporate more color into an outfit with a bold solid pant is to get a cute printed scarf with some of that bold color (from the pant) into it and use your printed scarf as a starting point for your color pallete if that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteBahahah after 4 cats, you crack me up! I love all the looks, especially with the stripe top.
ReplyDeleteI love those shorts! I think a patterned top would look great since they are solid.
ReplyDeleteI think anything goes with that... Grey! Yellow! Orange! ... if you want to look like a Bronco's fan! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the scallops on them too!
You are one hot cat momma! :)

ReplyDeleteScallops and elastic waist band? Sign me up!
ReplyDeleteHahaha your posts make me laugh so hard every day.
So cute! These are like the ON ones (elastic wasitband and all lol) that I posted yesterday. You could do black with these or white + a colored cardigan/blazer. Love the scallop detail!
ReplyDelete4 cats. ha! You crack me up. I love the last outfit and the lace tee. Super cute! I'm not fashion blogger, but I think you could pair it with a kelly green, yellow or bright pink top too. :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!! Hehe...I look like this after four cats, hella cracked me up. XO
ReplyDeleteWe are so loving these shorts and they obviously go with everything. Obsessed with the scalloping on the bottom and really loving the color. We totally could not survive on a two photo max per outfit but we applaud you lol. Let's see, that color would look seriously amazing with almost any pastel and a deep brown or beige could look amazing!

So cute! And also can you please recognize how smokin hot you are lady? Ow ow! ;) as for pairing the shorts with something other than white, I would probably just go for it and try nearly any other solid color (or even a big floral patterned) top. But I'm not a fashion blogger and I wear leggings with outer space on them, so maybe take my styling advice with a grain of salt...
ReplyDeleteI've been debating these shorts since I saw Zelle wearing them, too! They are so cute and they also look super comfy which is a win win. Love it with the striped tee.. I think it would also be cute with any sort of patterned top!
ReplyDeleteI've never been a shorts person because for whatever reason I'm convinced I look bad in them, but these are so cute. I love the scallop design on the bottom. When are you going to start a personal shopping site! You can buy all my clothes
ReplyDeleteLOVE! Just seeing this!

ReplyDeleteThe shorts are seriously so cute! I like that there's some elastic because (unfortunately) I gain and lose weight all the time.
ReplyDeleteDude, I hate wearing shorts but OMG I LOVE THESE!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but the lady doth protest too much about not being a fashion blogger. I LOVE your outfit posts!! Love them. My fave looks with these shorts are the lace tank and the voile tunic (OF COURSE). Now I want to copy you and wear my cobalt shorts and voile tunic tomorrow, except I just wore it last week to dress like a cake. LOL.
