is JustFab really fabulous?

Sorry for the corny title, I couldn't help it.

So.

My best friend. You've probably seen her around the blog, she's the pretty one, makes me look pretty in 99% of the photos you see, met her in Australia and followed her to Kentucky.. and she's obsessed with JustFab. She has bought so much off that site, she should probably be a spokesperson for them. Boots, bags, dresses, rompers, jeans, shorts etc. Seriously. She even bought me a bag for my birthday, and ok I kinda love it.

But as for myself signing up? I had looked into it before but I don't really love the idea of having to get something every month, even though we all know I have a shopping addiction, why plan for more shopping than you're already going to do?

The other day she sent me some photos of items she received, and she said she had seen a couple dresses that were 'so you, Kristen' so I went to have a look but couldn't look at the dresses without signing up (or at least, I couldn't figure out how to). Then she told me it's super easy to skip a month (or however many you want to skip - you can keep skipping all the live long day) and return items. Ok, she was tempting me. JustFab didn't sound so bad... Then she gave me her log in details, and before long I had fallen in love with a dress, and a bag. And some boots. Ok, and some jeans.

But, one thing at a time. I signed out of her stuff, and created a JustFab account of my very own. When you sign up, you get a coupon or discount (like 50% off!) for the first 24 hours or something so if you're gonna sign up, wait until you know you want to buy something. Plus they were having a BOGO sale when I was looking, and they have a clearance section where things are like $10 after you buy one of the $39.95 items.

Now, $39.95 is not a lot of money, but it's not super cheap for me and my tight ass self. Boots, yeah they are worth $40, especially good quality ones. A dress? I don't think so. A bag? Maybe. I don't like to buy expensive bags because I get tired of them quickly, and I'm cheap.

That bag above is super good quality, it's nowhere near dead but it needed a break for sure. I have this nasty habit of just throwing things in big bags and forgetting about them and then throwing more stuff in.

See? Poor bag.

Anyway. The BOGO, remember? Awesome. Wanna see what I got?

The Legacy bag & the Grace Fit and Flare dress (in Navy). for $40. Not each. Total. That's not rock bottom prices, but that's not bad either.

The Legacy bag

Sorry for the crappy iphone photos, but I wasn't waiting until I got home to use my camera, because then I couldn't start using my pretty new bag immediately. I am in love! It is so.pretty. It has like 650 reviews. It smells soooo good. And it has stripes inside. What more do you need?

Oh, you need an awkward bathroom iphone selfie? Sure. Because KC wouldn't play photographer that morning. Rude.

The Grace dress.

Oh em gee you guys I freaking love this dress. They only had 2 sizes, and of course were out of the size I needed, but people said it ran small so I took a gamble and ordered the bigger size. Perfect! I am in love, with a dress.

It is a thicker material, but not so thick that I can't wear it in Summer. It also has a super cute v back.

KC likes it as well, as you can tell because he exceeded his 2 photo per outfit limit.

Two thumbs up! Yes, I'm a dork.

This isn't a sponsored post, just spreading the shopping addiction love. I have signed up and don't plan on buying things every single month, but hey Autumn is right around the corner and I need some new boots. Next thing on my list are these combat boots. Or these ones. Plus, I need some brown ones, and the grey ones are super cute..

There are a lot of bad reviews online for JustFab and (so far) I think they are kind of unwarranted. A lot of people are mad because they didn't know they had to log in by the 5th of the month to 'skip' but that's not really JustFab's fault. Plus, if you do forget and they do charge you (on the 6th!) and you don't buy anything, you get a credit to your account. So what's the big deal? I guess if you are short on money, a credit is no good and you want your money back, but then maybe you shouldn't be signing up for recurring shopping site thingys. Just my opinion.

So what do you think? Interested in JustFab? Just want to reiterate this is not a sponsored post I just really wanted to share the love. If you do sign up and use my link, I will get a $10 credit. I actually didn't know that until I started writing the post, but hey. Who doesn't want free dollars?

  1. OMG, Kris! You look ah-maz-ing in that dress! It's sexy without being like, let me give away all the goods. I love the cutout hemline detail, so pretty! That bag is gorgeous, too. Love the color. $40 for both sounds pretty great to me. Thanks for sharing your experience with them :).

  2. Oh you are not helping my shopping addiction! I already have my StitchFix box set up for October after baby comes along and now you have me tempted for this. I do REALLY need clothes though....

  3. Those bags are really cute, the white and the tan. I have a hard time too with recurring sites, but that is just me. That dress is gorgeous, the detail at the bottom is so pretty. It looks perfect on you too.

  4. I love JUSTFAB, but haven't ordered anything from them. I liked watching the show, though.

  5. I can't help it I totally read the title of this post as Carrie Bradshaw...my Sex and the City addiction is showing...
But seriously cute stuff! My cousin uses Just Fab and has gotten some really cute things from there!

  6. Love that dress! I have looked into Just Fab before and I do not buy fashiony things very often so once a month is just too frequent for me. I seriously buy clothes maybe once a year and even then I hate doing it.

  7. I really appreciate your review here because you explained a lot of things I didn't understand about JustFab. I've seen some killer shoes on other bloggers from there but like you...I'm not into subscription services at all. Except Netflix. Anyway, so...if you skip a month you don't have to pay $39.95 that month? And if you do pay the $39.95 there's a certain set of stuff you can choose from at that price? Am I understanding this right? And P.S. Love the stuff you chose. That dress is perfection on you!

  8. I don't know how I feel about JustFab. I have a few friends that swear by it then a few friends who think it's horrible and keep telling me to never join. They have a ton of cute stuff but I heard that they don't get a lot of new things in so if you don't see anything you want one month, you probably won't the month after. And my friend spent FOREVER trying to cancel her subscription with them. I've looked a few times just haven't taken the plunge. I LOVE what you go though!!

  11. First of all - I am loving all your outfit posts lately and that dress on you is amazing!! $40 for both of those pieces is even better!! Love everything!

  13. I'm obsessed with both of these things! For some reason I always thought JustFab was only shoes! The dress looks amazing on you, and that bag will go with everything!

  17. Can we be friends so I can borrow all your clothes please?? ;)

  18. That dress fits you like a glove! Just gorgeous especially the cut out design. I really like the pink bag your bestie got and I would be the same way stuffing it with way to many things. This is partly why I avoid large bags because as soon as I have them, i suddenly decide I need to carry my laptop and make up and random books around with me at all times.

  19. I absolutely LOVE that dress!!! It looks beautiful on you! I am really digging navy the last few years and am finding more and more of it in my closet. I guess because it is close to black and well...black was all I used to wear haha!

I think it sounds like a great deal, but I am one who has to try on EVERYTHING before I buy it so I would be worried about things fitting me right. I don't usually order clothes on line.

  20. I love the bag and the dress! What an awesome deal you got them for...i'm going to check out the site now.

  21. Never heard of JustFab. Thanks for the intro...I think? Or another place to possibly spend money...hahaha

I love both of your pieces.

  22. GURLLLL - your legs look fab!
I wasn't sure about that purse till I saw you holding it - super cute! I'm a bag snob - super picky! I really like that though - love a camel color.

  23. I was wondering about JustFab- I honestly just didn't know much about it. but sounds like i need to try it out. i LOVE that dress and that legacy bag!

  24. You are lookin' so gorgeous! Love the dress and the bag actually! I'll have to look into maybe! (Don't tell the hubs though hahaha)

  25. Hmmm... you definitely have me intrigued! You scored for sure on the two items you got - they are both lovely and $20 each is a great deal! I haven't ever signed up for any of the "boxes" stitch fix or anything like that... I just struggle with being forced to buy something every month... but I like that you can opt out of JustFab each month. Do you have to commit to a certain time frame of using their services?

  26. Loving that dress and really loving that bag! Good finds! I've still been meaning to check out their boot selection that you recommended so thanks for the reminder :)

  27. Dang shawty, that dress looks GREAT on you! And the purse is cute too. I'm super strange about shopping... I have absolutely zero probz dropping a couple grand on a designer purse, but I see shoes for $80 and I'm like, "Oh hell no!" Same with clothes. I'm all, "you want HOW MUCH for that dress?!" as I strut away with my ginormous Louis Vuitton.

    I make no sense.

But I'll check out justfab for sure!

  28. The dress is so cute on you. I love the bag too, the stripes inside are a nice touch.

  29. Oooooohhh I really don't need another outlet for my shopping addiction, but this looks so tempting...that black dress looks made for you!

  30. SCORE. You killed it for $40 I'd say and that bag looks mucho expensive!

  31. Giiiirl I just discovered JustFab's sister company Fabletics!!! LOVE totally IN LOVE. I too was skeptical about the automatic monthly charge each month and how the whole thing worked, but omg the quality of their athletic wear is SO amazing. And I think everyone knows how insanely priced this type of gear can run and I got my first outfit for $30! If you like JustFab I think you'd die over Fabletics too. :D. That bag and shoes you got btw are so flippin' adorable!

  32. I stock up on their boots/booties/purses and love it! Never thought about trying their dresses though! Plus returns are so easy with them. Your dress look awesome on you!! My friends who complain about JustFab are generally people who spend hundreds on bags/shoes (each) sooooo....

  33. I caved and signed up and got the Globetrotter bag for $9.99...I'm dead. I'm going to need to seriously make a budget or this could get real bad, real fast ! Thanks for sharing :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. I absolutely adore that dress and the bag too. I'm with you on the stripes inside. Perfect. I might have to try this place out after the shopping ban!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I love the dress and that bag. I haven't committed to this whole subscription shopping idea yet but I think before long I'm going to have to just do it!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Of course you had to introduce me to this when I'm on a budget! Waaaaahhhhhh

  47. That purse may have just got me to look at the site! I hate the month to month idea also. I'm trying not to spend money though so I may need to hold off. This whole, "no shopping" thing I put myself on is just stupid.. Ok not really but you get it I'm sure.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Love the dress and purse!!! I've checked out just fab before but I didn't like how you had to pay a monthly fee of $39.95 just to sign up. Or am I thinking of the wrong thing!?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Looking this up RIGHT NOW. Because YES.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Bwahahaha! Welcome to the Fab Family! I started with JustFab and then FabKids (because my kids need to look cute too) and then got hooked on Fabletics too so that the cute workout clothes can motivate me to workout more. Hahaha. LOVE the legacy bag! And I always just let them charge me anyway and then hold on to my credit until they have a BOGO sale or something.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I love what you got! I will have to sign up so I can get those combat boots (I'm leaning towards the stone color)... hopefully my Fabletics account doesn't disqualify me for the new people promo!
