Humpday Confessions

It's confessions time! Not even a holiday would stop me linking up. I don't want anyone to forget me!
DO EEET.

I love when I text someone, especially if I'm asking them a question and they are too busy to respond, but not too busy to post a pic on instagram or update their FB status. Well guess, what, I aint liking your shit until you respond to me.

I dont want anyone to blog when they don't want to, but I get really sad if any of my faves miss a day. I want to send a non creepy email and demand they come back immediately because I miss them.

When my 'skinny' jeans start to get a little too skinny (I think they shrink in the wash) I hide them at the back of my closet.

KC and I do this thing, when we see something stupid on TV or a family member says something we think is ridiculous, or whatever - we look at each other, smile or roll / widen our eyes, depending on the level of crazy. I never thought it was annoying until someone pointed it out in disgust the other weekend.

While I was looking for a gif for the above, I found this one and I watched it for like 10 minutes. Isn't it crazy weird awesome?

I love that you pick up mannerisms and stuff from people that you are around all the time.

A couple weeks ago, KC and I watched Before Sunrise and really enjoyed it - the part about knowing each other, their annoying traits and how they tell the same story depending on the audience. KC loves to tell stories and he always embellishes my part to make me seem stupid funny. Similarly, I don't know if it's the teacher in him but whenever he is around kids (like his cousins) he asks them what they are doing in math or science. So then the next time we were around his cousins, I asked one of them 'what are you doing in science now?' and I guess you just had to be there, but it was really funny to KC and I.

We went to dinner a couple weeks ago with friends, and it was a thai restaurant and they have instrumental versions of popular songs playing all the time, and do you want to build a snowman came on and I squealed (out loud) and clapped my hands like a little kid.

i mean, how can i not use this gif again and again
It makes me REALLY mad when I hold the door open for someone and they don't say thank you, especially in the land of manners that is America. So, I say you're welcome and bask in the awkwardness of them realising they are a rude piece of poop.

I really like GIFs. I'm sorry if they make your head hurt.

  2. I always hide any jeans which decided to suddenly not fit perfect anymore. Hahaha my mom is always on Facebook but she never answers my freakin texts!! Mostly because she's always leaving it lying around or uncharged.

  4. I think it's funny when couples adopt mannerisms. It shows how connected they are, but I get it can be over the top for some people. The door opening gets me so mad, just say thank you people!! Also add when you let someone in a car go and they don't courtesy wave or nod. Rude!

  7. That gif of the lil one in the car, SO CUTE! Girl, that is one of my biggest pet peeves, holding a door for someone and them NOT saying thank you?! Especially when it's a man, which I swear happens more often than not. I always mutter "alright then!"

  8. I hate when people don't say thank you. Sometimes I shout "you're welcome" at them.

And the texting/posting pics thing? Drives me insane.

  12. My grocery store sometimes plays the instrumental version of pop songs. My favorite so far has been Gangster's Paradise!

And yes to the text thing. I asked a friend a simple question and waited like 20 hours (literally) and several tweets and facebook posts later for her to answer it. Rude!

  15. I love ALL the gifs you used I never get tired of them :) I do the same thing when people don't acknowledge that I just stood and held a door open for them while they went past although I must be honest, in South Africa, people are usually good with that but you always get that one person who thinks the world is literally stopping for them - yeah right! lol

  16. Making faces at people who silently understand me is my favorite thing. I don't even care if other people don't like it. Don't say stupid shit so I wouldn't have to silently judge you. Problem solved.

  17. Haha I love all of your gifs! You and Amanda always have the best gifs I swear! I'm going to confess that I'm THE WORST about texting and calling back. I admit that I have the worst phone manners. When someone calls me I usually just text them back later... horrible I know. And sometimes if someone texts me and I'm in the middle of doing something I'll be like "Oh I'll text back later" then I'll forget and and up doing something else and then like 5 hours later remember. Oops! Hope you're having an amazing trip!

  18. I love GIF's so these are these posts are the best ever.

I don't want people to blog when they don't want to either, but nothing annoys me more than the "I don't to blog at all but feel like I'm supposed to be blogging" post. We get it dudes. We all have real lives too and blogging can't take over all of it. ANYWAY

    Happy Wednesday!

  19. Ahh sookie and bill! There is nothing worse than when you have a freshly washed pair of jeans and they're SO tight-- I blame the washer as well!

  20. Haha yeah Land of Manners is right!! I would like to apologize on behalf of all dumbass Americans who don't say thank you, they give the rest of us a bad name!! Your gifs rock!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I get mad about the door thing too. I also get annoyed when I let someone get in front of me in traffic or I hold the elevator for someone and am not acknowledged. Rude.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I get irrationally worried when my fave bloggers miss too!!! I miss that part of being in a couple... the inside jokes are always soo good!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hahaha my boyfriend and I do that too I wonder if others notice it LOL
OMG the door thing is maddening and if we're driving and I let you over and you dont give me the wave I will get so pissed.

  25. I agree about the texting thing. I hate it!! And I always say you're welcome when I open the door for people and they don't say thank you. I mean, how rude can you be?! 26. I hadn't noticed the couple thing with Drake and I until I described something as "divine." As in "that piece of cake was divine." Drake says that all of the time. Since then, I have noticed a few things we have picked up from each other.

  27. hahah Bradley and I give the same looks to each other over crazy things. I am really, really good at giving the wide are 'are you kidding me' look

    ReplyDelete
  28. I am with you on the rage over people not saying thanks when I hold a door for them. Or even acknowledge me - that's the worst. A smile/head nod whatever, fine, but nothing at all? Nope. What I hate even more is when I'm pushing a giant cart of boxes at work (it happens a lot) and people go through doors without holding them open for me. It's ok, me and the cart will just ride the struggle bus for a while, but thanks anyway!

(And America is the land of manners? Hmm, you must live down south ;) )

  29. I am so glad you're still linking up! I was hoping that when you went on holiday you wouldn't just disappear because I would miss you!

hahah YES! Or when they have an iPhone with read receipts so you know exactly what time they read it... and then hours pass and you see them on Facebook or Instagram or whatever and you KNOW they just have their phone in their hands. Rude! haha

  32. Hee hee, you never disappoint me with these confessions...I'm guaranteed to laugh. Glad your holiday couldn't keep you away. I do the "you're welcome" thing too. :) People deserve to hear about it when they're being inconsiderate. It's probably good that I'm not on FB or Instagram, I think all of my friendships would fall apart over behavior like that!

  33. I've spent 1/3rd of my life watching gifs

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yayy may or may not have been a little overly excited to see you posting your confessions today- was dreading a week without them while you're on holiday haha!

  35. Why can't people answer a simple text?!?! Like stop trying to "play it cool" and freaking answer my question!!!

When people don't say thank you when I open a door for them, I do the SAME thing and say "You're welcome!!! Have a great day!" Nothing pisses people off more than wishing them a great day when they were rude. And when people dont wave when I let them in on the road....I will drive up next to their car and glare at them. Rude!

    ReplyDelete
  36. The last one!! Yes, I do that all the time. But the best was when my four year old son help the door for a lady and he said, "mama she didn't say thank you, dats not nice:. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  37. Bahahaha... that Jennifer Aniston gif goes PERFECTLY with the skinny jeans confession... LOVE!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Never apologize for your gif usage. I love them. They are my lifeblood. And also I was at a gathering once and "Let it Go" came on in the background and it was so quiet that I shushed people around me to confirm. It wasn't 2 seconds into the song before I started spazzing like that little baby. So yeah, I hear you on that.

  39. I think my husband and I do the eye-roll thing too! I hope it's not too obvious. Hee hee... that gif of the little girl just cracks me up!

    ReplyDelete
  40. OMGosh! Totally onboard with the skinny clothes going in the back of the closet! They can't taunt me from there or trick me into thinking I have something to wear :)
