Mainly pictures, but they are the most fun, aren't they? If you really want to, you can read my first post but it is pretty bad.
My first school photo. I was in kindergarten, like 5 at most. wasn't I the cutest little thing?
The first time I ever shot a gun, and probably the last, because look how awkward I am. I was probably 15 at most here.

don't ask, because i won't tell. it's a secret! |
Skipping ahead a few years, because all of my photos are at home in Aus, this is the first night I ever 'let' my now best friend come out with us. She was just the nice American girl at work and I thought for sure she would have friends coming out of her butt, she was so nice and everyone loved her. The more I got to know her, the more I realised how lonely she was in this country without all of her people. So I invited her out for a night on the town with my crazy friends, and the rest is history.

My first halloween! Kinda. My bestie really, really wanted everyone in the office to dress up, but because we don't really do Halloween there, no one did. But I obliged. I think we were an angel and a devil. I mean, wtf. Really, wtf am I wearing.
My first trip to America! I had been dreaming about visiting America all of my life, seriously, ever since babysitters club and sweet valley. I thought it was this magical place that I would finally fit in better than before. This was in 2009 and I went on my own (!!) and met up with a tour group called Trek America. We went to so many places that I barely remember it all.
That same trip, I went to my first CMA fest, and it was the first time I met the beautiful ladies I call my besties and were my bridesmaids. It was love / friendship at first sight, though I am pretty sure we all wanted to hate each other (girls!) but we just couldn't.
The first time I ever saw snow.
Yep, for real. I was so excited.
I have now seen enough that I'm done, please and thank you.
My first football game. It was not a good game. And it was freeeeezing.
My first visit to Disneyland!
KC and I broke up shortly after that trip, womp womp.
But, we got back together and this is our second first 'date' and I use date loosely.
My first Derby :)
My first visit to Disney World!
My first American Halloween - in Disney World of course.
And that's all for right now my friends! I had fun sharing some older photos. Any excuse to take a trip down memory lane! Now seriously, go help me with my dress search.
i am loving all your firsts! so fun how your met your husband and i love that yall dressed up at work despite the customs!

Oh my gosh... you and your first snow is so cute! :D
ReplyDeleteI can't believe they don't do Halloween there! GIVE ME ALL THE CANDY!
I am so jealous that you have been to Disney World and Disney Land. Like, seriously? I have been to neither and it makes me very sad. It is on my bucket list!
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable in your Disney Halloween costume!!!
It surprises me that country wasn't big seeing as how you know...Keith Urban. Yummm.
i still need to go to my first derby!
ReplyDeleteUmm first of all you are gorgeous!! ... and that gun pic looks like a still from a movie. No joke! The tattoo is also gorgeous for being on a whim although I would drive myself nuts wondering if it means anything at all. And that Derby pic is everything.
ReplyDeleteI am slightly fascinated that you were able to whip up such an elaborate and fantastic post in such a short time haha
Someone posted today that apparently 2/3 of people in the world have never seen snow, so you weren't alone! All of your pictures are so cute! Your best friend was so lucky to have someone nice to invite her out and help her feel less lonely! I'm moving to a new city in a few months (so not nearly as bad as a new country, but still) and I hope someone like you does that for me!
ReplyDeleteYou and your husband are so adorable together! Your firsts are awesome. I moved from the south to the north, and now I am done with snow too!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading about all your firsts, but as a huge country music fan I love that you love Brooks and Dunn! They are still one of my favorite duos and I can seriously jam out to all their songs! And you look stunning at the Derby!
ReplyDeleteYou look like a model in your derby pic. I have a vest picture, too, (somewhere) and I am like, "what the heck??" And it was not clear to me, do you regret the tattoo or no?
ReplyDeleteLots of cute firsts! But, um, NO to the Cowboys. Sorry your husband or whoever has steered you in the wrong direction :)
ReplyDeleteLove this post and learning more about you! I love that you don't know what your tat means haha that's awesome! You are lookin like one serious hott mama in that derby dress!!

ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH - they need to hire you at Disney world as Tinkerbell - you look ADORABLE!!!
You also look stunning at your first Derby!! (See, ruffles - comment on your other post) :)
I really cannot read your blog at work because I either end up laughing out loud and looking crazy, or online shopping for hours. For some reason that picture of you as a little kid is what I think all Aussie kids look like haha! I was like "that girl next to her is not from Australia obviously." WHY?
ReplyDeleteThis was great, nothing wrong with 2 posts! One day I will make it to CMA fest and Disney World :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great compilation of firsts! I have never seen snow yet and would totally have a pic like yours when that moment comes for me! I'd also love to try firing a gun, just for the sake of trying!
ReplyDeleteSo many cute firsts! Halloween is my favorite so of course that one is my favorite of yours!
ReplyDeleteAw! Love the trip down memory lane! You've had a bunch of good first :)

Oh my god I love this post!! I am so happy you decided to do it! These pictures are awesome and it's such a fun way to get to know more about each other. I think you've done more in America than I have and I've been here 25 years, haha!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing in your Derby attire!! Please tell me more about the tattoo????!!!! Lol.
ReplyDeleteLove that you love country music ha. It's my car radio station of choice. I can't believe you came here all by yourself in '09 and joined a touring group. That's awesome/scary/amazing all at once.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures, I love reading about the firsts! I get excited for the first snow fall every winter and imagine all the fun times I'll have cuddled next to a fire with hot cocoa and a good book, but then the snow lingers and I get over it.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous that you've been to Disney, the Derby, & CMA Fest!
ReplyDeleteI love your kindergarten and first snow photos. This was fun to read!
ReplyDeleteI love this post. So much fun! I'm with you on snow. If I never see it again, I'll be just fine with that.
ReplyDeleteSO many fun firsts! Love this post :) Just stopping in to say hi from the link up!
ReplyDeleteYou've had SO many firsts in the last few years! And I still can't get over the fact that the first time you came to the US, you came alone!! Brave girl! I laughed out loud at the pic with the vest and flower in your hair - I have sooo many outfits from college that make me wonder WTF I was thinking!
ReplyDeleteI love your Disney costume. I love Disney World. The first time you saw snow is a great photo. I'm kinda sick of it too and I've been around it all my life. Also love the photos of you with your guy. You two look so sweet together.
ReplyDeleteSERIOUSLY my favorite post all day!!!
ReplyDeleteAll great pics of you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! Yes, you were adorable as a 5 year old. Now that pic with the vest has me a bit concerned...:) you came to America alone?! You're amazing!! I don't think I'd ever have the guts to go to a new country alone.
