Wardrobe Essentials #3: Pants

Part 3 of my essentials posty thingy. Catch up on dresses and jeans if you've not read them.

Once again, this post is going to be pretty tailored around my lifestyle, though I will try not to focus on work too much. I do wear pants a lot at work, and not so much outside of work. So, we should probably start with..

#1 Work pants. Or dress pants, or nice pants, or whatever. If you don't have a 9-5 office job, you probably don't need a ton of work pants, but maybe there is an occasion that you want to wear some nice pants that aren't khakis. I love straight pants for work, though I wear bootcut style as well.

#2 Casual Pants. I'll be the first to admit, not really sure how to wear pants other than jeans without looking like I am going to work. But I'm working on it.

My favourites are the olive pants that you see everywhere - I think mine are technically jeans but I don't care. I love them, and I love all the ideas on pinterest on styling them.

#3. Comfy, casual pants. Yeah, these aren't the same as the above. I'm talking sweats, workout pants and leggings. I am the kind of person that may or may not go to the grocery in my bum around the house pants, and while I might not look cute, I can at least not look like a boy (my opinion about myself, not about anyone else). I used to wear leggings all of the time, but I think that has passed, though they are still comfy and will get their share of wearing.

I have the gap leggings below, I didn't pay $30 as I got them from an outlet, but I probably maybe would actually pay full price.. with a discount code.. for these. They are thick, well made and aren't see through. I went through so many pairs of thin, no one should wear them, horrible forever 21 leggings before I bought these.

My favourite work out pants are lorna jane, an Aussie company. They are expensive, I bought them when I had more money than sense, but the pairs I have are 7 or 8 years old and are still going strong. Love them.

Can you think of other pants that are essentials, that I am missing? This list is very true to myself, as I honestly don't wear 'pants' outside of work.
