Humpday Confessions #4

Linking up with Kathy for her fabulously hilarious awesome link up.

I finished Allegiant yesterday, and I am really mad about it. I haven't been this mad about a book since I finished the poor excuse that was the last sookie stackhouse book.

I love my husband, and he is an awesome teacher. But sometimes, I ask both rhetorical and real questions that could be answered in like five words, and he goes into a huge spiel cause he's so darn smart and I'm all like

I gained a few pounds. I want to blame it on the 'back at the gym' and muscles weigh more than fat but a) doesn't happen overnight, and b) It is most likely the family size packet of chips + dip or all the ice cream and leftover easter candy I have been consuming.

Speaking of food... if I go to a get together or party or whatever, I head straight to the food. And it better be good.

I love online shopping. It makes me so happy. But why does it take so long to arrive??  It makes me super irrationally angry and want to make crazy declarations - I'm never shopping at you again, Forever 21 - how dare you take over a week to get me my order?!

I may have mentioned Derby is this weekend! I'm so excited to party hard and act like we're 22 again.

As if. 7pm rolls around and I'm not in bed? Hell no.

I cannot stand when people eat with their mouth open. Or make any loud noises with their mouth. And when I tell people this? The first thing they do? IS EFFING PRETEND LIKE THEY ARE EATING WITH THEIR MOUTH OPEN. WTF is wrong with people? It is not funny, it is disgusting and you are a piece of trash and I hate you. Ok, maybe a little harsh. But seriously. Stop it. Now.

I realised this week I am probably the bitchiest person I know. And not the good kind of bitch.

It's Wednesday. Which means tomorrow is Thursday (bravo, me!) and Friday is a half day. Three cheers for living in KY!

  3. Have fun at the Derby! I hate waiting for stuff online too and because I'm spoiled by Amazon and Zappos if something isn't here in 2 days I'm all like "is it coming, why is taking so long" :)

  4. Derby weekend! Woop. We had a part last year? The year before? It was fun.

  7. I HATE when people chew with their mouths open. Or make any noise while eating. Just shutup and enjoy your food. There's a person I know who eats really fast and really sloppy. It takes everything I have not to gag all over them when I eat around them.

  8. bahaha you're the bitchiest person you know!! My husband is super smart too and sometimes I do feel stupid when he answers my questions...but sometimes it just puts me to sleep! I go straight for the food at every single party!! I went to an event last night and no one was eating and of course I didn't want to be the only one to eat - so i didn't i was ravenous when I got home lol

  9. Ugh I am SO with you on people chewing with their mouth open. It actually grosses me out to the point of complete and utter distraction. Hate it!

  10. OMG I finished Allegiant on Sunday and I'm mad too!!! WTF?!?! And I'm right there with you on the gaining a few pounds thing. I stepped on the scale yesterday and I was like "ohh crap... apparently I went a little overboard with reintroducing bread and coffee back into my life". So I'll be doing spinning tonight. I completely agree about the ordering stuff. I prefer to order stuff than go to the store but waiting a week to get it SUCKS! Happy Hump Day!

  15. I haven't read books 2 & 3 yet. Since watching the movie, I can't wait, but I know they are just going to make me mad, like The Hunger Games. I am waiting for a Sephora package right now. I keep clicking the tracker button to think it into moving faster. Need that lipstick, stat!!

  16. Don't tell me that about Allegiant.... I just started it last night... I told my friend that if Tris and Tobias don't end up together I am going to be soooo mad for wasting my time on this read - don't tell me but UGH!!! :) xoxo

  17. I did not care for Allegiant either-- I really disliked Insurgent as well, so by the time I read the last one I was just kind of over the whole thing! I think amazon and nordstrom-- where you can get free and fast shipping, makes me so frustrated when other sites don't have free shipping + it takes forever to arrive!

  18. I am your boyfriend in my relationship that has to give a 10 minutes explanation and I probably drive my husband crazy. Oopsy.

I cant stand rude eating habits! Like, were these people raised in a barn? Shit!

Nothing makes me angrier than a book that makes me mad. Like, why did I waste my time! I can get those hours back!

I bought some Easter clearance candy last weekend for 70% off. It was awesome until I stepped on the scale this morning and saw that I gained 70% of my body weight in candy lol. (That might be a bit of an exaggeration but still. crap!)

  19. I was so pissed at the end of Allegiant I almost returned the book! The eating with your mouth thing is so gross!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Haha I love it!! If am such a foodie person and if there ain't no food at that party I get depressed about it lol And all hail online shopping but why oh why does it have to take a week or more.. I wish as soon as I hit enter it goes through I shoot right to my house, lol!! Hate waiting for that ish lol!!

  21. There is really no excuse for eating with your mouth open. My co-worker does it and it makes my stomach turn with every. single. bite.

    ReplyDelete
  22. haha sometimes the bf does this weird eating thing and it sounds so gross and i call him out for it every time. just eat like a human not an animal, please!

    ReplyDelete
  23. i've recently gained a few pounds too...from ice cream. damn it!! umm chewing with the mouth open is so disgusting. why must people do that!? i want to come over and hit them in the mouth like STOP. ahhaha

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think its a man thing, they have to take 2 weeks to explain something..omg its painful, just spit it out already. I hear you about the scale situation. Keep up the work though, good for you!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh thank you for the derby reminder! I'm going to a party and may need a hat.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Haha great post. Happy hump day! Can't wait to watch the Derby (but in real-life would be better!).

    ReplyDelete
  27. Not fair... I'm in downtown Louisville & my scrooges don't let us off at all during Derby week. I'll sulk all day Friday... believe that!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Woohoo for the derby!! We always go to the horse tracks here in Chicago but my friend is having a house warming party so I'll have to settle for home-made mint juleps :) It's on my bucket list to make it down there for the real thing one day!

    ReplyDelete
  29. People who eat with their mouth open are just nasty! My husband is super smart too and goes way overboard explaining things. I'm like you lost me after 5 sec!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Allegiant made me mad too. Like why? Just why?

    ReplyDelete
  31. You get a half day for the Derby? That's awesome and I'm jealous!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I have a serious online shopping problem :) I currently have 2 boxes waiting with my doorman and that makes me sooooo happy.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ah my fiance does the same thing when I ask him questions! Sometimes I weigh the potential question in my mind and think "Am I awake enough to handle his answer?"

    ReplyDelete
  34. This post made me so happy! I love seeing this side of you. Jane is my girl. Can I tell you I've almost considered paying that ridiculous rate just to get my clothes sooner. They take forever!!! It's like they are sewing them together before they ship them...hahhaha yeah right! Btw did some blog stalking your side is definitely the left (bang side to the camera) ;-)

  35. The worst is when something you buy online is on backorder!! Also, I agree, the first two books in the Divergent series were amazing and I couldn't put them down... The third one was kind of ehhh.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Love this post! I definitely know what you mean about shopping online! Can't wait for the Derby!

    ReplyDelete
  37. YES! I was so made about Allegiant, I was so angry and I couldn't stop crying and it wasn't okay for the book to end like that. I don't think I've read the last book in the Stackhouse series, but I've read most of them. That sucks that it sucked. My favorite thing about family gatherings is all of the food. Mouth noises are definitely very annoying. Love the confessions!

    ReplyDelete
  38. All the Easter candy is making my ass a little rounder. ;) time to hit the gym hard. I can't stand loud chewers so gross.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I binge read the entire Divergent series a couple of weeks ago and hated the ending of Allegiant! I read a good alternate ending written by a fan. If I find it again, I'll send it your way. I like it so much better! Feel free to email me to vent about the book. :) I vented to my boyfriend, but he just doesn't understand it. Haha. lynsey (at) wanderlyn (dot) com

  40. omg bad table manners are THE WORST! when i go out to eat with people i will totally not look at them or i'll gag.

    ReplyDelete
  41. HA, oh man people that talk and chew with their mouth open... so gross. i have not finished the divergent series - i've only read the first - but i know you're not alone on disliking the ending! i'm not sure when i'll get around to reading the rest of the series as i still haven't read the last hunger games. oops. :)
