does anyone else have this scene play in their head when running? |
2. Travel & Packing lists.
I have been obsessing over packing & remixing lists from Audrey, Travel Fashion Girl and MK at Outfit Posts. When I started dreaming about Europe, I decided I would pack lightly and use a backpack. I started to put together lists and outfit ideas. Europe has been bumped to Summer 2015 (hopefully), so 2014 is the year of Australia - complete opposite season and type of holiday. It will be winter (albeit, not that cold), I will be staying with family and have access to washing machines so should be easy, right? I still want to pack lightly though and have been working on a packing post and outfits post - both have been super helpful with the planning process. I really love planning #lame

3. B12.
Random thingy. I am always tired. I can get 5 hours or 10 hours of sleep and I will be the same amount of tired the next day. I heard about chia seeds being good for energy, so I asked my crunchiest friend and she said she started eating them and taking B12 at the same time. She definitely noticed a difference, but didnt know which one to attribute it to. I bought both, have had chia seeds a couple times but have taken B12 every single day for about 3 weeks (I think). I seriously cannot believe the difference. I have so much more energy - not like I am on speed or anything, but I'm not spending the whole day yawning. One night I stayed up really late and only got 3 or so hours of sleep, and the next morning I was still tired because it's not a miracle worker, but I wasn't run-over-by-a-bus tired. So, boom chick a boom. B12 FTW. I also got my friend Sam on them, woot woot for energy.

i feel like this little guy. don't watch too long, you'll get dizzy. |
So how did I only just hear about this site? I must have been under a rock or something. Seriously. They have so many cheap books - like $3.50 cheap. I know they are like 50 cents at Goodwill, but sometimes Goodwill sucks in the book department. I have already bought a zillion few books and I imagine this will be a favourite site for awhile. Oh, free shipping! Always a plus. This is absolutely not a sponsored post or anything - I just really like cheap books. Holla.

5. Brunch for dinner!
Tomorrow is Thunder over Louisville and my best friend and her husband are coming over to eat and drink watch the fireworks and we are cooking brunch for dinner. Mmm breakfast foods for dinner = love. We pretended like we felt bad for the husbands, because us girls do brunch regularly and they never got to experience all the yummy foods and mimosas - but really we just wanted to eat brunch again.

Also, I apologise but have been rather obsessed with gifs lately. #sorrynotsorry.
Late to the bloglovin party, but I just signed up. Yay. Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Good to know about the B12. I am a low energy person in general, so i need all the boosts I can get!

ReplyDeleteI like chia seeds too and I'm not crunchy in the least ;)!
Kristen - I am so glad I stopped by your blog! I am going to try B12! Thanks for the advice! Have a wonderful weekend! P.S. I am totally jealous that you are going to Austrailia! You must go to Lake Hillier so I can live vicariously!
ReplyDeletethanks Pamela - oh I wish, but we aren't going to WA - I've never been, but it looks pretty!
DeleteI definitely read the article about 75 thoughts every runner has and the way it gets to the marathon rationale is beyond hilarious!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI get SO obsessed over packing - you are not alone! I have a 4 day trip coming up in May, and I will probably end up with a million things I don't need packed, because you just never know when you'll need this or that. I do not know how to pack light! Yay for b12, loving it! Thank you! I need to check out this books site, also. xSam
ReplyDeletehaha me too Sam - trying to pack lightly!

My husband read that 75 Thoughts Every Runner Has to me the other day, and I couldn't stop laughing. SO hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI'm always tired like you, so maybe I should start taking B12...hopefully I can end up feeling a difference like you did. This being tired all the time thing is getting old!
Brunch for dinner?? That sounds awesome...I'll have a mimosa at any time of the day :)
This is random but do you get your B12 in a shot or pill form? I thought I had heard you get this in a shot....
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'm a runner and I completely agree with that list :) !
ReplyDeleteBrunch for dinner sounds amazing!!! The best! Xx.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna need to get some B12 ASAP...will work on that this wknd! Oh, and there is nothing better than a mimosa brunch (for dinner!)...love love love it!
ReplyDeleteI started taking B12 about a month after our son was born - and you are RIGHT! I can totally tell a difference! Even though I'm up at least once in the middle of the night now and then up and at 'em for the day at 6:45 a.m., I still don't yawn! It's crazy.
ReplyDeleteB12 vitamins are superb indeed!!!! I lol'd to the relatable gif btw! Nothing better than breakfast for dinner! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteyou can also try essential oils for a natural boost of energy!!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love that first gif!! Too funny!!
ReplyDeleteHave so much fun this weekend - I always love brunch for dinner :) :)
I'm guilty of many of those thoughts! :) The gif of the baby goats is so adorable... going to have to check into the B12 supplements, never hurts to have a little extra umph! Have a happy weekend, enjoy your brunch!
ReplyDeleteThose gifs are hilarious! And, I'm totally with you on obsessing over packing planning...I do the same thing! Glad to find you through Five on Friday!
ReplyDeleteI'm REALLY excited for your packing planning post since I"m headed to Europe later this year! I need to check out these cheap books with free shipping AND the things a runner thinks even though I'm more of a run attempter, should be right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteOooooh, I'm totally going to look into B12 -- this isn't the first time I've heard great things about it. And, I'm so with you for packing planning -- just like os many of the other commenters. I usually make lists of exactly what I have with me, divided into outfits, complete with accessories, ha!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely need to look into B12 - like you, I sometimes catch myself feeling drained and yawning even on the rare days that I had a long night of sleep, so I could totally benefit from this! Thanks for sharing!
