1. I am a bit of a mascara junkie. Funny thing is, I'm not very good at actually applying the stuff, but I like them the most out of all the makeup things. What's your favourite? I have tons, but right now am hooked on this one from L'Oreal.
2. Oil Pulling. Read about it here.
Uh, What? Have you heard of this? I am intrigued, and might try it! I am very insecure about my teeth, and the whitening strips hurt and don't work! So, why not, right?
3. Burnished Cafe Maple. That is the name of our flooring that arrived yesterday (!!) and that hubby is hopefully installing tomorrow. It's from Lowes, but not online. Boo. It's a huge job, the biggest we have yet to take on, and I am so happy and proud of him. We are getting help from our friends, thank goodness. I can't wait to show the progress of our living room when it's done!

Penny approves of the new flooring. Chelsea just wants to say hey. |
4. Tomorrow I am going to the Louisville Comic Con with my friend and her husband. I am super excited. My friend's husband and I are getting photos with & meeting (if only for 2 seconds) Matt Smith and Karen Gillan - yep, The (11th) Doctor and Amy Pond. To say I am excited is to say the biggest understatement of the century. I have tried to keep mum on it, not jinx it and all that, but ohsfdgjkzbvjhzfdmydhvbmzxdbvgawwwd I am so excited I might.just.squeal. I will, no doubt, post about it. a lot. because. Doctor Who.

5. Go Cards!
I am not gonna pretend I'm some hardcore sports fan, especially not college sports because that would be a lie. I didn't grow up around all of this, though I enjoy any sport live. I'm a UofL fan by default (hubby + best friend = no choice) but I'm not a mean fan, and I've never actually seen a basketball game live. On the bucket list, yo. I really wish I was a UK fan because I look so much better in blue. Just kidding. kinda.
Plus this counts towards today's outfit post.
Top: Target (not available online, similar)
Cardigan: Old Navy (similar)
Jeans: American Eagle (old, similar)
Flats: Target (similar)
Happy Friday!
PS. Weekly Outfit Collage, cause that's how I roll.
Love your outfits, so lovely!

DeleteI'm gonna have to try that mascara!
ReplyDeleteI'd probably be that way seeing Dr. Who as well, but especially Nathan Fillion! I hope you have a great time!!
I'm in the Ville too! I'm rocking a Cards shirt as well! Go Cards!
I know - I wish Nathan Fillion was there too! Yay, go Cards!

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean Elena - I am obsessed with all things house related right now! wow, building a house sounds like so much fun (and a wee bit of stress!) good luck :-)
DeleteI have blonde eyelashes so if I don't wear mascara, I look soooo tired. I like to randomly try new mascaras and recently threw a tube of Revlon Lash Potion in my cart at Target. I like the volume and would buy it again (along with whatever else ends up in my cart. It's Target. You know how it goes!).
ReplyDeletemy lashes are really light as well - and short, and straight! my mum always said, if you don't do anything else, at least always do mascara. its amazing how just one thing can change the way you look, even if that's all you do! hmm I will have to check that Lash Potion out - sounds interesting ;-)
Deletehi from the link up! all your outfits are so cute! and i have heard all about oil pulling, kinda scared to try ha!
ReplyDeletethanks Bailley! I know, I'm scared too but might give it a whirl. We'll see!
DeleteStopping by from the link-up!! Oil-pulling is seriously all the rage right now - I'm intrigued and have heard really great things - especially whitening your teeth!! I'm a huge fan of Benefits "they're real" mascara!! So good! Hope you have a great weekend!

DeleteEveryone looks better in Kentucky Blue! (Just had to stop by after your Go Cards post on my page today! I went to graduate school at Louisville and teach at UK - just expecting a great game. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletehaha Sheryl touche! I'm not hardcore, or mean - though some people can be! I am just hoping for a good game as well :-) Have a great weekend as well!
DeleteYour post about mascara made me realize in horror that I forgot mascara today! I got a late start this morning and was trying to rush my makeup routine and I was distracted! Haha...oh well. It's amazing how much of a difference mascara makes though. I feel like I look different without mascara!
ReplyDeleteoh Chrissy that's hilarious! I never forget mascara - literally, sometimes it's the only thing I do. I agree, it really does make a difference :-)
DeleteI just bought Loreal voluminous mascara and so far so good! Oil pulling is just weird! Because of the name every time I see it forget what it is! I always think it has something to do with your hair!
ReplyDeleteLOL Ally - even though I know what it is, I keep thinking that it's something to do with my ears, which grosses me out. Glad you like the mascara as well :-)
DeleteCute weekly outfit collage! I'll have to try out that mascara - I got a sample of the smashbox full exposure mascara recently and that's been my current favorite. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit collage - such a great idea! My family is from KY (dad went to UK, mom grew up a Cards fan). Oil pulling sounds bizarre and I'm not quite sure I have the patience for it ha. But I do want to try out that mascara! Happy weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kristen! Thanks for your comment on my blog - I'm so glad you found me!
ReplyDeleteI usually use Cover Girl Exact Eyelights Mascara. It's the kind that is supposed to enhance whatever your natural eye color is. It's clumpy and has a little bit of shimmer. Such a sweet picture of your kitty! I am looking forward to finished pictures of your new floor!
Have a great weekend,
Katelyn
